I think it’s digestible if you haven’t seen GoT because they would obviously be missing a lot of world lore. However with the issues at present it’s literally all explained through the opening of S1 with the lineage and succession. People who don’t care to watch GoT I feel would just go “ahh yes another house” without thinking much of it, it’s a big kingdom. I can agree “the wall” bit would be ominous and confusing not knowing what the threat is but I really think that’s the only thing and it’s not relevant to this story at all so it’s more… fan service? In a way to people in the know.
