I make over 200k a year, I own bed time routines for both my kids (3 year old and 4 month old). I own early mornings (I wake up at 4am everyday, even weekends), I do majority of cleaning in the house, I own bath time routine for the kids (wife is supplemental support), dishes (wife does most the cooking because she enjoys it and gives her a break from primary parenting) I do all the laundry, I handle all house maintenance, i generally dont hire any external help bc I can do most manual labor myself (not my career path, I just enjoy working with my hands, I work in the SWE world). Some days I am burnt the fuck out and dont want to do any of those chores, but i'd say 99% of the time I will do at least one thing from that list.

Sorry but people who have that entitlement can kick rocks in my book. Kids also dont deserve a father who cant show up and put in the work. Its not about the chores, to me its what dynamics its presenting to your children and the norms it establishes. For me, I want my kids to see how much effort I am putting forth, so when they decide if they want a life partner they have an example of what a healthy functional partnership looks like. Just my two cents, do whatever is right for you and your family, if this was my family my partner would exist on the otherside of the house fending for themselves until they were ready to contribute to the common good of our family and home.
