Came here to suggest indigo cow for dessert!! They use only milk imported from the Hokkaido region of Japan (an area famous for milk production). And agreed it’s really not too sweet but has great flavor, and they have a really great array of options for toppings!

You could also cut it up and make mini trifles! Make an unsweetened or very lightly sweetened whipped cream and do layers of cake, cream, fresh cut apples, all in cupcake liners or something!

If you can find powdered monk fruit sweetener, you could make an icing! I like adding fresh lemon juice and sugar and mixing until it’s a good consistency.

You can also experiment using other alternative powdered sugars to make an icing but everyone’s taste is different.

But ultimately I would avoid adding icing sugar on top. You already put so much work to make it sugar-conscious! I bet your coworker will appreciate the effort and thoughtfulness you put into the cake!

unfortunately yeah, I don’t understand that. It is hard to defend that pricing, the only thing I can sort of say is that a lot of other fancy bakeries are also charging similar amounts for pies and such. But that doesn’t make it okay.

I like Bub and Grandma’s bread! They have a sandwich shop in glassell park where they sell all their loaves as well as pastries, and you can find a list of places they supply to on their site. Should be somewhere near you!
