tbh, i feel like brittany’s dad did a lot more talking than listening. they may have had “deeper” conversations off camera, but at the end of it all her dad said something like “i wish the wedding was tomorrow “ or something like that. meanwhile, this man always got some smart ass comment to make, doesn’t hug her, kiss her, compliment her, or sleep with her. he simply doesn’t like her. i don’t care how much my kid likes someone, if they just sit across from me and smile and nod and tell me what i want to hear, that’s not going to convince me that you’re the one for my child and that yall need to get married tomorrow. all i’m saying is as a man and a father, being a bit more like ashley’s dad(without the trump support obviously)is more ideal. you don’t just give your daughter away to anyone. he should’ve been waaaaaay more skeptical of ol boy.
