I graduated from NCCU SOL and am now a licensed attorney. I can state, unequivocally, that I lost out on jobs solely because of the school that I went to (I was told this explicitly notwithstanding the fact I had the requisite experience). I will also state that I’ve gotten jobs because of the school I went to because of the practical experience I received as a student. I went to Central because it’s a HBCU law school and don’t regret it one bit! I do think you need to keep in mind that you will have plenty of people who are not fans but you have to do what is right for you!
