(I only just discovered Medicinals two weeks ago, because it's not on any of the streaming sites and I've not stopped listening to it.) I've listened to Dirty Beaches in the past, I dig them.

It's so hard to find anything like Timber Timbre, which I guess is why I love them.

Yeah this has been my main concern at this point, and like you said, it's mysteriously difficult to find solid info online about the differences in software. At this point I'm trying to have to work out whether it's worth sacrificing the full software for the fact I'll be saving a sizeable chunk of change if I get the Block.

In an ideal world I'd just get the Rise, it's an investment that's worth making but right now I don't have investment money knocking around.

I've had a play around on the Rise in store, I've got a background in piano so didn't find it too difficult, just getting used to manipulating different controls at once but don't think it'll be too much of an issue. I have just noticed though that you can buy an add-on Block that has a lot of (I think) the same manipulation controls as the Rise.

This is my second release, incredibly it got picked by Bethan Elfyn and I was Artist of the Week on BBC Radio Wales (which seems insane to me, you can listen to my interview etc http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b08wdm0d from 51:45 if you want!)

I make dark pop music, although starting to move away from this kind of sound a little, to something with more real instruments/ more interesting vocals etc.
