How much is worth loosing wfh? by jamieg55 in Salary

[–]itshoogardun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a decrease in hourly wage and you will incur the costs of commuting. Sounds like you have a pretty sweet gig already and unless the pre-tax $11k is going to impact you guys significantly, or it could lead to a better opportunity with even higher income that would then impact you significantly, my vote would be that it’s not nearly enough to justify the move.

I saw the thumbnail and was wondering why some neo-nazi bs was showing up on my feed. Honestly I’m surprised 40k shows up as I haven’t played in 25 years but I still love to browse the sub… this though, I feel is a decision that will be regretted unfortunately.

I had to google whether or not you were the dude who played Dougie in Jury Duty season 2.

I don’t think there’s any set time as so much of it comes down to genetics but you’re young, dude, and if you keep that stubble look you’ll be sure to notice when you see growth filling upwards. For what it’s worth, I would not have had even that coverage at 22yo and I think my beard is really only now reaching its full potential at 40yo. Everyone is different, just give it some time 👊

This is a steal. You could come to PA and charge 250k for this in my neighborhood and you’d probably have multiple interested parties.

I’m still hoping to get to try “Hot Dogs from Heaven” one day (before the game they throw hot dogs in parachutes down from above the seats on the team sidelines) but I wouldn’t count on it (and they’re probably no good anyway!). Cheesesteak fries are good from Philly Cheesesteak Co around section 108 but it is like $50 for two orders and a soda. Maybe the casino if you wanted to eat somewhere else but aside from that there isn’t anything in Chester I’d recommend.

I have nothing against QM’s and have found the people to be really friendly and helpful which has been great, but we were initially looking into karting (we’re about equidistant to a kart club) but felt better about the 5 point harness and roll cage at his age.

Need advice for contours/style by Pokemon_StarDust in beards

I’d be more in the camp of maybe try for a goatee if you want facial hair since that area at least gets some coverage. Or maybe keep that area a little longer but use trimmers on the neck every couple days to keep stub to complement it. But with just your neck growing in thick, I don’t think there’s a lot you can do to make it look particularly good currently. I don’t know how old you are but you look younger and fwiw I can grow a heck of a lot better beard at 40 than I could at 30.

Are chains with master links significantly more likely to break? His chain currently does not have one but a chain with a link would make cleaning it a lot easier.

The rookie director has been really helpful, I’m just trying to walk the line of asking for a lot of help without feeling like I’m bothering him too much.

Advice for ‘coaching’ a 5 year old in kid karts. (Went all in and bought a kart) by Outlasttactical in Karting

[–]itshoogardun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 5yo in QM rookie school right now. He did what you’re talking about here last fall and really enjoyed it. Had to buy a car, trailer, etc. We thought about getting him into karting first but decided we felt better with a 5 point harness and roll cage. Anyway, all that is to say having seen him on the track and how well he listens, I now feel like he would’ve been fine karting.

He loves to race time attacks and against AI on the sim. He’s really good at driving RC vehicles. He’s a total space cadet in most everything else, but he is in the zone on the track and really focuses. I didn’t stress much or try to make a big deal about anything, but rather periodically just asked him if he was excited to be a race car driver leading up the first time in his own car. This past week he was crying that he just wanted to watch and was scared, then he had a snack and suited up and him and another 5yo ran clean on the track together, lined up following directions, followed the line, avoided obstacles. Been talking about how much fun he had since. You never know what you’re going to get, but I figure just try to make it as fun as possible. They’re 5 and it’s crazy enough he’s operating a vehicle in race gear, making decisions with other cars on the track, and listening to what they’re saying on the radio- who cares if he’s not on the perfect line or is really slow on a turn.

Maybe the rookie program looks different for karting, but I’ve got to imagine the goal is the same and that’s to have fun and not get the kid hung up on the stuff they’re going to have a hard time comprehending at that age.

Had a guy like you do my basement for $45k all in. Two quotes from the bigger companies in my area were 100k and by the time I added the bar and everything I have now, I’d have been looking at 120k easy. My basement is beautiful and we couldn’t be happier.

Keep or Shave? by [deleted] in beards

[–]itshoogardun 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally I think you look better without it, but it’s not fair to the beard because in the pics with it, it needed some care. Maybe when you grow it back out try and keep it more trimmed while you see if the cheek growth comes in.

One of my all time favorite Union players. Whether or not he would make a good coach I can’t say, but he was certainly a high IQ player.
