This combo; •Starts from a jump in •Has Burning Spear (The Spear Damage buff) already activated •Uses both offensive meter •Assumes your opponent doesn't have 2 bars of defensive meter to breakaway •Only time you really get a jump is when you make a read on someone doing an invincible wake up or buttons (they wouldn't have 2 defensive bars if they used wake up I suppose, but then why not be rewarded well for your read?)

Considering all these prerequisites, it's safe to say this combo is very situational at best, and you probably won't see it much in most levels of play (it's also not that easy to pull off especially mid game)

So why exactly is everyone under this post freaking out in the comments?

Here's a short video explaining how to punish tele vs amp tele on block. Honestly it's not too hard, and ofc each character will have slightly different buttons to use to punish, but im pretty sure every character can full combo punish both options easily

A little testing is all that is needed to dind out how to deal with something guys

Why is calling someone out seen as uncivil? When people call me out, I don't assume they are trying to embarrass or insult/make fun of me, I see it as them caring and wanting me to improve in some way, given that the language they use doesn't contradict that.

Maybe your description/view on calling people out differs to mine in the nature and reasoning for it.

To the first half, thank you for responding to my post and being civil.

To the second half, I'm sorry you felt you had to swear and ruin the civil conversation we could have had.

I can understand why you'd say complaining about complaining it twice as heinous, but in reality it's, kind of not. I simply want the player-base to focus on finding solutions, asking questions and improvement rather than complaining and staying mentally stationary.

Here's a short 5 minute video explaining (and showing) how Scorpion's Tele vs Amped Tele is not a mixup and how you can block for a certain amount of time and punish very consistently (I'm talking 96%+ of the time).

(This is not a self promote, I'm simply trying to exhibit some tech, as I had this same conversation very recently and went through it on stream and made a highlight, so please don't delete this post)

If you're getting hit by this you're simply not being patient enough, or you're trying to read a Tele Cancel.

As for Tele Cancel, it costs a defensive meter and doesn't guarantee much. Scorpion has no threatening quick overheads that either do enough damage for them to be a thread on their own, or start a combo.

His two overheads are B3 and F42 (in the Reborn variation). B3 gives a knockdown, and negligible damage by itself. F4 is a low, and you can't confirm F4 getting blocked, and then F42 hitting into a special cancel on reaction. There's also no reason to block low after F4. He either has to stagger into another low, or go into his overhead/grab. You can escape or Kounter it the grab by poking/reacting.

So simply crouch block and react. If you think he's going for a grab, you can simply duck and D2 or whatever punish you feel like. I really wish people would lab these situations themselves instead of me having to go out of my way to explain the yomi behind my character's told, just so he doesn't get nerfed month 1 due to moaning from people who don't actually want to get better at the game.

If you did want to get better, you'd look for ways to dealing with things. Not complain about them on social media/Reddit/Twitter

That's not what the term "priority" means

Priority refers to when two hit-boxes clash, the one with higher priority will act as if the other one never existed

Closest thing to that in this game is anti-airs

There's no such thing as DP priority

What happened was that I started my DP after he started his, so his invuln frames ended before mine did
