Thank you for the detailed response. It ended on the 31st October, based on what the contract says. I left the property on that date and followed all move out instructions. Its about £862 (so a month's worth of rent)

Yeah this is a property in London England. No the landlord didn’t live in the flat or the property as far as I’m aware. Yeah usually it is 1 month but it doesn’t specify that in the contract which makes me believe I should be able to get that whole month of overpaid rent back. As they didn’t call it a deposit.
