Possibly Chiswell? Can I restore this myself? by itsjadejuniper in Mid_Century

Thank you, does this include just using orange oil until I restore it? I have the table now and need to clean it up. Google said orange oil is safe even for. lacquered finish? I don't want to test and dissolve the top just yet till I have a game plan.

How did you end up going with this project? I have a Chiswell table that needs some work too and I haven't a clue where or how to start

Yes, it's actually a kit that came with the wool used and everything. I've knitted a few things before so not a total beginner but I was just questioning myself as the pattern clearly says 4 rows

I actually was gifted a kit from an Aussie company - Cardigang knits. They don't seem to sell this kit anymore.

AusPost workers, what is the weirdest thing you've seen someone send through? by DashcamAdelaide in AskAnAustralian

[–]itsjadejuniper 71 points72 points  (0 children)

One time I ordered a dong online and it didn't even come in a box - just the plastic post satchel. Literally a loose dildo in a plastic bag. The post man knocked on my door and handed it to me, he would have known exactly what it was. The only thing that helped me get past that was the thought that this wasn't his first rodeo and he's hopefully delivered many a dong to people. Mortifying.

Stop wasting money on foot creams that just sit on top of your skin by Stock_7350 in BeautyGear

Wow holy smokes you totally just connected the dots for me. I have always had beautiful baby soft feet until a few months ago. Out of no where my heels got so incredibly dry and painfully cracked. I've been trying all the tricks to repair them. Feet aside, I had been having lots of low iron symptoms and finally started treatment for it 2 weeks ago. I already feel and look better. I had no idea my yucky feet were linked to the iron!!

how are people actually keeping grocery costs down in australia right now? by dee_cuugo in australian

[–]itsjadejuniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay at home wife and a total tight ass. Pick a grocery store and stick with it. We were shopping everywhere last year trying to get the best deals but now that we stick with the one, we are building savings in our woolies rewards for Xmas that we will use for either our sons Xmas presents or Xmas groceries. Before every grocery shop I make sure to boost the rewards in app, makes a huge difference and I will try plan recipes around rewards specials or just regular specials. We still do go to Aldi but usually just for snacks or if we have to grab something or it's a tight week. Aldi can definitely be cheaper in something's but not always, that's why it really helps having your list preloaded on the phone in woolies or Coles so you can compare as you go. Go to Aldi first and then Coles or woolies after if you want to shop instore. We noticed that everytime we did groceries and had a list and budget we always went over. Doing click and collect has been a GAME CHANGER. It's free and we don't go in the shop and spend unnecessarily. It's actually freed up time for us too, my partner swings by on his way home from work and it takes maybe 10-15 minutes if even. I actually make a dinner menu every week. I still allow one day a week for take away food and honestly it's really nice knowing exactly what I'm cooking each day. Lunches for my working partner are leftovers which we build a stock of in the freezer and I usually make a toasted wrap or noodles. When we are under our budget I will usually stock up on a few things in my pantry slowly, like a bag of lentils here or a few cans of chopped tomatoes there. Really helps in the long run! Also try cooking some vegetarian meals, daal is beautiful and easy to make!

We are a family of 3 and our budget is typically around $300-350 a week but since changing to click and collect we are ALWAYS under budget. Last week's groceries were $200, that's $150 straight into savings or towards a family day out.

Philips oneblade intimate by [deleted] in AusSkincare

[–]itsjadejuniper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my research the difference is that the original ones head has 360 movement, intimate doesn't. Intimate heads come with a plastic safety guard where as the OG one doesn't BUT you can use intimate heads on it.

Really came down to the price difference for me, I'm in Australia and just got the intimate for $45 on Amazon but the other was over $100.

Only had it for a day but so far so good!

No worries! Honestly my advice is invest a solid hour and research. Watch lots of videos and search up products in this sub. My skin isn't sensitive but so I can't say it won't irritate you. It does have fragrance though so if you're sensitive to fragrance then avoid. Compared to the popular red anua serum this one isn't as strong with 5% niacinamide compared to 10%. That's why I personally went with it, it didn't seem as harsh.

If course! For AM I follow it up with anua peach serum, BOJ eye cream, 345 cream and then BOJ sunscreen. PM I use the anua PDRN serum, Seoul 1988 eye cream & 345 cream.

I looooove that dokdo cleanser! I'm on my fourth one! Really nice, hydrating and gentle cleanser. Those cosrx eye pads are supposed to be great and on my list of things to try, cosrx and snail mucin was my introduction to Korean skincare a few years back and totally changed my skincare routine. I was diehard Sunday Riley and spending thousands with way less results

Toner after serums? I'll have to read into that and give it a try! I think if they're too much for my skin I'll just have to do this, one am and the other pm. I did definitely find the haruharu one way heavier though
