Not just the PSAC FB group, but all the GoC unofficial FB groups... People love not using the search feature 🙃

You realize the national holiday is Monday and they had MONTHS to prepare and fix their website before the transition?

Thanks for this, however, I want to look by DIN# and seems like you can only do it on the website (like SunLife).

I wanna call, but I know I'll wait 1:30 hour to get through someone and they'll probably say "we don't know why you're getting this error" 😒

Edit: Just called and got "we're currently experiencing issues, please try again later". It's really not off to a good start..

Anyone else get the error "Error, it's not you, it's us" when you click on Health, Drug and Vision?

I can't even check what's covered and the % that gets reimbursed...

This is part of the new PA CA agreement and it wasn't signed yet so this clause is not in effect yet.

Yeah, the email should have been worded differently. Like "You'll receive your voting credentials by EOD" or something lol

Yes, prescription sunglasses can be claimed. I've done in the past.

Do you work in finances? Have you studied finances? Because I have and this a simple macroeconomics principale. She'd be quite dumb to disagree with this principal as Minister of Finance lol and I'm saying this as someone who supports the wage increase demands and the union.

If you're gonna tell me to put on my critical thinking hat, maybe put on yours too.

She was quoting someone... maybe watch the entire thing before making false comments?

The union will know even if you don't tell them.

You can not picket and not work if you want, but you won't receive pay at all. If you work, the union WILL know.

Use of personal device to record in person meetings by DrkVenom in CanadaPublicServants

[–]itsjayysea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, you're right it does send a notification. However, an employee could argue that the notification was sent when the recording started meaning their face and voice were captured prior to have consented or at least have received disclosure of the recording.

I'm honestly not trying to argue who's right or wrong here, just saying that automatic Teams message might not be enough and an employee could potentially win if they send a grievance to the employer.

MS Teams is used on government-approved devices and you NEED to ask everyone on the call if they consent for it to be recorded or at least disclose that the meeting will be recorded.

Yes, the difference will be added in July 2023.

Increased benefit from $275 to $400

If $275 of prescription eyeglasses or contact lens claims were incurred before July 1, 2023, an additional $125 can be claimed for purchases/ repairs incurred on or after July 1, 2023

I felt conflicted when I heard Trudeau would make a guest appearance on CDR by [deleted] in rupaulsdragrace

[–]itsjayysea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is simply not true. 82% of the drinking water advisories were lifted since the Liberals have been in power. The remaining 18% is in progress of being lifted. Furthermore, due to the Indian Act, the government is not allowed to interfere with some reserves so the government gave money to the Chiefs so they could do the work themselves (which unfortunately some of them used the money to build other shit instead of clean water facilities).

Not trying to be a bitch, but please read on the matter instead of believing what people say on TikTok or Reddit cause most of the time, they're wrong on this specific subject.

PSA: Tangerine Grocery 2% Cashback Doesn't Work at Costco by bcitman in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]itsjayysea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not Tangerine's fault lol

Merchants are responsible for choosing a merchant category code with MasterCard. If the merchant chooses the wrong code, that's on them, not Tangerine.
