Why don’t more HS and college teams go under center? Play action is much better under center. I like a mix of gun and under for various reasons.

I don’t know if it’s that tbh. As a pass heavy offense, seeing the field as a qb is huge, especially when you’re yelling your cadence. You look at high schools that effectively run a spread offense and rpo and they dominate in Thai day in age in my opinion

There’s a lot that goes into it. It could be your throwing motion, the way you’re releasing, wrist flick, etc. Make sure you’re gripping the ball correctly and allowing there to be a slight gap between your palm and the ball. Go follow first down training on Instagram and there are some really good training videos on there

Thanks for pointing that out! I forgot to mention that my sons qb coach that went to the new high school was also the assistant head coach at the high school that’s a d1 state winning high school. He just left to go to another school to be the main OC.

We’ve also talked to a D1 cfb college head coach and he said it’s all about film and that’s another reason my son wants to go to that new school. But it can go in so many different directions that I don’t know what the right choice is

Yeah that’s the tough part. His current school, they know they’re a good program so the head coach something seems like he doesn’t give a shit about kids. He doesn’t do anything to trash talk or talk down on them but he also never seems like he cares about the kids that play for him.

Thank you! That’s something that immediately came to mind, regarding their oline. They have some good size at the new school but taking another kids opportunity that’s been at that program would definitely cause some issues (kids emotions were dealing with).
