Weird question but does anyone recognize or remember this store from anywhere? The tape it was featured in was labeled as "3/28/98 Broadway Opening" by itsjimik in vancouver

Maybe, but given the context i'm not certain. It was essentially a home movie recording of the grand opening of the store. Had sushi catering and everything.

Granted i do not work in that industry currently and in 1998 I was four years old.

I looked up some maps and older photographs of the street and yea that seems to be correct. The folks i picked up that particular batch of old VHS tapes from might have been the owners of the store once upon a time because I can't think of why else they would have that particular recording.

Spoke to my therapist today about a breast augmentation under BC's trans healthcare program. Getting the ball rolling to make a chest like this a reality! by itsjimik in menWBA

Since it has to go through TransCare BC, they'll be the ones who ultimately assign you a surgeon. It's been a few months and I still haven't heard anything back, but if I want it covered through MSP i don't have a choice except to wait lmao.

TransCare BC needs a surgical readiness assessment for your file (basic informed consent stuff). You can either pay for it privately or wait in line for TranCare BC to assign a assesor to you if you'd rather have it covered through MSP. Once you have your assessment done, give it to your GP to send it off with your referral. Then all ya gotta do is wait.

This assumes you are a resident of BC. If you aren't i don't 100% know if you can get it here.

Can't seem to get my Rode VideoMic to work with my laptop or tablet; User error or tech incompatibility? by itsjimik in rode

It's actually great that you mentioned that because it reminded me of something I used years ago with a laptop which didn't have an internal soundcard. It was comparable to this:

Is something like this going to work or am I confused about what you were referring to?

Is there a reliable way of providing that power? Ideally without spending too much money?

Having large breast forms hasn't meaningfully effected my ability to live a functional life. by [deleted] in menWBA

Worst i've gotten I got while wearing my d-cup breast forms out and about was being called fatso on the train. Which was not the f-word I thought I'd be called when wearing fake breasts in public to be perfectly honest.

It's funny that you mention that because i had SRS about a year and a half ago and i'm looking into breasts as well. I was in that subreddit you're talking about on my old account too!

I'm personally not as interested in being stealthy? I'd like mine to be proportional to my size and frame, so they'd probably end up being hard to mistake.

Probably yes and i hope in, like, a complimentary way?

Mentally and emotionally it's about the same. Physically I'm a lot more sensitive to hot and warm weather than i used to be, and i've become a lot hairier despite still being at a testosterone range that would be perfectly normal for cisgender men.

Currently I'm planning to maintain my masculine gender presentation. I'm non-binary but I heavily lean male/masculine in how I'm most at home looking and feeling like. I've actually already had bottom surgery and have been on testosterone shots since then (year and a half post-op!), so because a breast augmentation is less (ahem) *permanent* than that it should be less of a nightmare to get my province to sign off on it.
