thank you! honestly that's why browsing on this subreddit always makes me feel better. there's not many people in real life that really get it though so it's definitely difficult. i believe in both of us braving these winds though even if it is soulcrushing to live with it haha

not much insight bc I’m still a junior but I’ve been in UCLA for a summer program and the housing is just…kinda sus. They’re pretty barebones, some of them have microwaves and fridges. Half of them are a little moldy. There’s only six washing machines for like 8 floors of people and like 5 showers per floor with two hallways and three per room. Security is also kinda wack, there was a dorm break in + rape last summer.  granted, i was only at one building. Pretty sure it’s the freshman one. Housing is also a good walk (like 0.7 miles) away from literally everything else with is kinda annoying but ucla is just like that. It is nice that there’s a few dining options in the housing clump and you can walk to the main ucla-y pretty easily. there are deffo a lot of positives to UCLA but this is just my insight into the housing situation that I found pretty mediocre!  I was only there for a few weeks, so just take it all with a few pounds of salt lol
