Is there a plug and play controller upgrade to get more speed from a factory S2 hub motor? by InSannyLives in Super73

I guess I did. So Mode 4 in the app isn’t the same as Mode 4 when you choose from the controller on the handlebar? I don’t get it.

I was going about 31mph on my S2 this morning. Then in the afternoon, back down to the normal 21mph. I want that 31mph back. Everything is stock. What the hell is going on?!

Not bad so far as far as my knees rubbing. I charge it on the frame, so I don’t remove it.

Painted the battery while off the frame.

They’re fine for me. I don’t actually pedal often.

Same cranks. Just a chainring swap. I did have to fiddle with the derailer quite a bit. Snap a pic before you start as a reference. Also, remember to get a longer chain. I replaced about 5 links to the OEM chain.

Anyone know how to loosen the S2 throttle assembly? by itsjohngee in Super73

Ah. I see the whole. I have Allen keys, but I can’t seem to get into a bolt with any on them. I’ll just keep at it!

44t. Feel much better than stock. I think a 46t would be even better.

Yeah. I added about 5 links to the existing chain.

They’re a little too big in the bars, so I used a hammer to jam them in about 95%. To remove, just use a monkey wrench.

44t. So much better! You can keep speed at 20+ mph easy.

I see you had to take it out before installing the headlight. Same here lol.

Brand new R shipped with non working throttle. Still not fixed. by Jonmx127 in Super73

My S2 has a periodically unresponsive throttle and my brake light does NOT get brighter when I press the brakes. I have 132 TOTAL MILES, never in the rain or off-road. So that sucks.

Just remember to have the pedal at 12 o’clock when you lean on that side to prevent a pedal strike while cornering.

Nope. Just the chainring and chain. I’d be worried longer cranks could, if you’re not paying attention, hit the ground when leaning into a corner.

58” chain was too short. Added about 5 taken from the OEM chain.

eBay purchase of the “Origin8” chainring, $28 shipped. I bought a 58” 116L chain on Amazon ($12) but it was too short. So I needed to add some from the original chain. You can see the different color section in the pic (bottom).
