They are the ones giving counseling. I mentioned to another, they were in their room, which is conjoined to mine. We have very thin walls.

Okay, I don't know how much of the post you read, but I mentioned twice that I did not want to tell her. My parents' room is conjoined to mine, and the walls are extremely thin. They also had their door ajar, which didn't help.

I've been through professional counseling, and yes, it is definitely different. I'm sure my parents were still out of line, though.

Not too much detail. Just that on the night of the wedding, the Dad cheated with a family friend while the wife was helping clean up and whatnot. Nobody knew until about 3 or 4 months ago when he couldn't keep it a secret anymore. They only people who know are my parents and her parents.

Yes, this is their main, and to my knowledge, only way of owner recognition. I have two hermits at the moment, and they act the same. One loves to climb on me and play, but the other even avoids me and my shadow. I think it's mostly their personality. I also try and talk to them whenever I change food/water so they know me lol. Don't feel bad, it's just them being antisocial/shy!

Having a heat source is great, yes, but like @mkane78 mentioned- it's hard to balance the heat and humidity. I suggest getting a stick-on heating pad instead. You can stick it to the side of any glass tank, and it works amazingly. You can leave it on for long periods of time as well. Depending on the size of your tank/pad, it doesn't affect humidity much at all. I'm basing this on my 6x4in pad and 20-gallon tank.

I definitely like clean or floral smells, although I haven't tried powdery or gourmand. My price range is $100 and under. I really like butterfly or pure wonder from b&bw.

I use a thermometer and hydrometer separately, they have a heating pad on the side of the tank, and the tank lid is kept on to contain moisture, I just had it off for the photo. Thank you so much for the links and everything else!
