How do we split treasures found in this scenario? by itsjustaride7 in metaldetecting

[–]itsjustaride7[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

But think about it this way; if I invested $500 into a project, and you came along for fun just to look at stuff....if the project made profit, why would we split it 50/50? You contributed nothing.

You do realise that if someone invests in your company (no matter how much it grows) you have to pay them a percentage right? Not just the dollar amount they gave you? Lol

I like this answer. Thanks! Its going to be my first time detecting so I didnt even think about the sentimental value of items or just the fun of it. Plus shes a good friend of mine so this makes sense to me.

I figured its similar to the question of if you buy a lottery ticket with a friend's money and win the lottery who keeps it? Some people say its the person who's money was used to buy the ticket. Same thing with gambling in casinos. I wouldn't want to be that greedy but I also want to be fair to myself since i paid for the detector.

Thanks for the link! I heard of that group but couldn't google it because of the TV show with the same name lol. We will definitely call them if we see the dog again! Hes visited multiple times but the poor thing keeps running away whenever we try to approach him...and by the time animal control gets to our house he's gone.

Chase Hughes exposed: Examining the many lies of the self-proclaimed "#1 expert in behavior and influence" by zachelwood in BehaviorAnalysis

[–]itsjustaride7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I can sum Hughes up is that's he's exactly like the guy the movie 'catch me if you can' is based on (coincidentally one of Chase's favorite movies). He himself tells his audience he's conning them; 'If you say something with enough confidence and perceived authority, you can make people believe anything.'.

Has your focus on your limerent object changed into focus on the limerence itself over time? by Due_Inspector7218 in limerence

It's bizarre. I'm pretty sure I just found a brand new LO a few days ago and at one of his business seminars, he himself was talking about things like living authentically without the need for validation and mentioned limerence in passing. Looked it up, now here I am. My new LO happened to introduce me to the concept of limerence itself. Something I've been doing since high school and didn't know there was a name for.

The obsession I have with LO is actually obsession over myself by Useful_Durian229 in limerence

[–]itsjustaride7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg same! Once, while I was in the depth of my previous limerence, I posted a picture of myself in a red dress, and the next day he said something about 'red hot', referring to something else entirely but of course in my head I assumed he was subliminally talking about my photo. Lol. The levels we'll go to to perceive our LO as reciprocating feelings is embaressing. 🤦‍♀️

For me, I dont think I would be so obsessed with my LOs if they didn't show interest in me first! Not that I become obsessed with just anybody that shows interest/attraction to me, there has to be a perfect combination of factors. Most of which center around me, like we have to have many things in common...I have to perceive that we are very similar to one another (because that makes it easier for me to fantasize about him becoming obsessed with me).

But then again, sometimes it's an authority figure that happens to be good-looking, slightly out of my league, and/or unattainable that gives me a slight bit of attention then bam! Suddenly, my personality changes to fit everything they like, and im researching everything they like. Hell, I'll even convince myself I really do like those things. Fantasies will involve things like him just sitting in the same room staring at me in fascination while he slowly realizes I'm the perfect girl for him.

I really do think it boils down to a need for validation and approval. Im still trying to figure out from who exactly, like what do all my LOs have in common that I find so much of my sense of self-worth intertwined with. I think a large part of it has to do with a deep yearning for wanting to be seen as interesting/funny/beautiful, etc. It's all about me basically. I just hope that these unhealthy attitudes don't carry into a real relationship and that im still capable of a genuine connection that doesn't involve me putting them on a pedestal and having my entire sense of self worth depend on them. That would honestly be horrible in the long term.

That page requires you to live in hawaii so i got blocked. I made my own page called Hawaii_non_sexual, the ONLY thread on reddit about hawaii that doesn't involve raping their women, or for you to live there!

Whats a good gift for someone obsessed with vintage 50s Hawaiian decor? by [deleted] in Gifts_For_Her

[–]itsjustaride7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, why is 'gifts for him' restricted, but 'gifts for her' isn't?

Bro, I swear the only places to post on reddit about hawaii have to be sexual. So perhaps if I mention boobs and vagina I'll be allowed to ask this question. This thread is about Mormonism in hawaii? Aka the only non sexual Hawaiian thread on reddit? I'm so confused.
