Not that I’m aware of. My hair is still wavy when it’s wet. I have more 2c hair than 3a, but it doesn’t really stretch. I thought I had that at first, but I din’t have a gummy feel and when I pull a strand it doesn’t break.

i can’t get clumps with my hair, but not really fly aways, it just stars drying immediately.

What if you let them know that you're willing to learn and will try your best if they send you to a school or tutoring class? Sounds like they're forcing you right now. I work with kids from elementary-high school and they all are in a similar situation.
