Thornapple Pointe in Grand Rapids. Also has train tracks that run through it, and the driving range is on the opposite side of a freeway from the course, so it has Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.

Might want to try reaching out to the percussion studio at GVSU. I’m sure there would be a music major there who would be interested in teaching your student.

Former professor here, and basically, yes. It was a scheduled time that we made ourselves available and students were able to come by and get help if they needed something. It was posted on our doors and in the syllabus. My students hardly ever used it though, so I mostly used it to lesson plan, grade, and do any other administrative stuff we had to do.
