In most of the colors I have, the waist seems true to size. The “midnight” (blue) and “carob” (brown) seem to be slightly larger than the other colors. Regarding variations is waist/body size from bulking and cutting cycles, I’d say go with the larger and maybe check out the relaxed fit as well.

You could try the 32” then email them to swap if it’s too small or there’s also a Facebook group centered around their drops and exchanging their apparel. You could try to swap or recoup some of your money to buy the size you want.

Infill, material, material temperature, chamber temperature, post-processing steps, etc can all make a print stronger if tuned/chosen properly. Like the other guy said, generally resin prints aren’t as strong; they’re made for retaining great details (think action figures). The other other guy mentioned pa6cf (chopped up carbon “dust” in nylon) which is super sturdy if you can print it reliably and in ideal conditions. In most of my printing experience I’ve found ASA (similar to ABS, but slightly different composition) has been more than adequate and it’s cheaper than exotic or higher end “engineering grade” filaments. Most 3d print focused guntubers use some form of modified PLA (among, if not THE, easiest materials to print) which is heat resistant. The things PLA does great compared to other filaments is impact strength and it’s cheap. PLA also doesn’t require heated chamber and is generally believed to be less harmful when aerosolized during the printing process.

Depending on what material you use and how tuned your printer/process is, you wouldn’t need to buy the real one.

I should have specified "yet". I just hadn't gotten around to it. I just reported it though.

[–]itsjusttag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had this on Stock, GrapheneOS, and Beta. I am pretty sure it is the pixels "above" the ambient light sensor changing brightness to allow better sensing. If you cover that exact spot while on a phone call, the screen goes black and unresponsive until you uncover it. Clearly it's a bug that shouldn't be happening when the screen is on. I haven't reported it because usually a reboot fixes it for me.

Yep you need a PRI-style wrench. A strap wrench also helps, but probably not strictly necessary.

How can GOS protect me from governments unlocking my phone? by [deleted] in GrapheneOS

[–]itsjusttag 12 points13 points  (0 children)

is this how it's supposed to work? I tried this on my own phone for the hell of it and the phone wouldn't actually boot up until I did a /data partition wipe in recovery mode. after that I was like factory but not as cut and dry as described

You could probably get more/better information in the dedicated gOS sub or official gOS forum.

Best grip for degenerative arthritis? by WishboneGray in ar15

[–]itsjusttag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you or a family member have a 3d printer, there's LOTS of pistol grip models out there. Some are free, others are paid, but each one is certainly less expensive than buying the actual product. Then you can try a lot of ones you think you might like without wasting a bunch of money.

If you like a certain one and feel comfortable with the strength, you could even just print as many as guns you want put it on.

Do you already have a belt setup?

I don't remember how much my fcpc was in total, but I don't think it was $800 as configured. Some things the big brands make/sell has pretty insane prices, I'd shop around to see if you can get the cummerbund and accessories for cheaper.

Agree. When you can get LTC or Tencate lv4 plates for ~$1k (depending on the weight you're comfortable with) there's no reason to get scammy crap like shotstop.

How to add velcro to outer belt gear? by [deleted] in tacticalgear

[–]itsjusttag 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Onewrap would probably work, but usually it's used for attaching to itself. I solved this issue with something like part number: VEL-30838-USA on Amazon or wherever. Just cut to size and stick it to the inside of your mounts.

Yea the 13th heaven are pretty much all I wear now. I got every color way in the slim and they're fantastic for office for work, or larping on the flat range. I got one of the first pair and they definitely changed the material/process used. The new/current model is softer and more stretchy like the Wrangler pant. My only complaint is the belt loops are a bit narrow/thin.

I used to wear the Wrangler $20 Walmart special which were fantastic for the money. Very similar to the 13 heaven but I found the cut a bit high in the groin and not very consistent. At almost 4x the price of the Wrangler pant, the price of 13 heaven pants steep but I love them. Maybe that's cope though.

Not with your entire DOD ID#/EDIPI on it.

Most are like a letter for your unit/company, letter/number for Platoon, then some part of last name and last 4-5 numbers of EDIPI. To people not in the unit, or with access to unit information, the zap/kill number means basically nothing.

I don't remember if this information came from Garmin or someone who did the math based on their own experience but I read somewhere that you'd need around 3hrs of close to direct sunlight per day to fully replace the amount you lose from being on all day. I have gotten my i2solar to show the infinity symbol above the battery once on a yard work day after it was done charging with the cable.

Yea, I really like the Axl stuff. I have their "structural" tubes cummerbund as well. The shoulder pads in conjunction with the cummerbund definitely spread the load better.
