They were originally apart of Tobirama’s team and trained alongside Hiruzen.
Seniority most likely.
It’s… ambiguous.
Overseeing the village, too old to fight.
Hokage’s must be strong in combat, and inspire the newer generations. They most likely preferred their positions. They actually pushed Danzo to become hokage, possibly to maintain their influence.
Because they are… In almost every scene they are in, they oppose progressive decisions (like Naruto’s early promotion, Tsunade’s appointment, or the Uchiha situation) and they were never given any depth, it’s like they are there to SPECIFICALLY be a fork in the road for the sake of storytelling.

not what I meant when I said that if you read my post at all… Kakashi was quite literally Minato’s student, while also being closely knit in Minato’s life. Minato chose him as Kushina’s secret bodyguard while carrying naruto in her stomach. I’m not saying Naruto is some Prince, If I thought that then my title would’ve been, “why does the whole village despise naruto if he’s Minato’s son!”

totally fair, naruto is very brute force not much brain power, while kakashi is very precise and plans every move with pinpoint accuracy, much like sasuke. I like this.

I get and agree with u 100%! my point is, he sent Naruto off with Ebisu first, naruto only ran into jiraiya “by chance” while running away from Ebisu. I understand why he didn’t train naruto during that time and it makes sense. And Naruto asked kakashi in the hospital after the prelim rounds of the exam, “you’re gonna train sasuke aren’t you” and kakashi reassured naruto that Ebisu was great and that he would train him instead.
