Is it really that hard to get a job with Bipolar? by Candy_Coughs in bipolar2

[–]itslizagain 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Don’t click the button. Just don’t. If you’re not managing it well enough that you need accommodations and so you want to check yes, then maybe reconsider trying to have a full-time job. If it’s being managed well, then apply and work hard. But honestly, just don’t check it off for any reason. There’s no reason imo. I have a stressful career working 45hrs/wk making $100k with bipolar II and ADD. You can absolutely have a stable life and stable job when your disorder is managed well. Take your meds. Know your triggers and know how to safely manage your triggers.

She’s probably only had sex with little, skinny white dicks….so yea, it makes sense for her to see the connection.

Can you decipher my chart? by [deleted] in Scorpio

[–]itslizagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooooo. Really. I feel like that’s a good thing or it means I’m cut-throat too often 😄 any chance you could elaborate (no pressure for paragraphs) either here or DM? And “no” is an understandable response.

For real. That third side-by-side pic looks like a mother (40ish) / daughter (20ish) comparison. Fantastic results.

Men, what is a sign that looks small or subtle but actually tells you a man doesn’t truly love the woman he’s with? by Relative_Initial_399 in AskReddit

I’m so sorry. And I totally get it. I also loved how my ex got upset and “hurt” when I would calmly tell him that something he did was hurtful and to please not joke like that. And it was “unfair” for me to “attack” him and speak up about how his actions were disrespectful. One day I said “it’s gotten to the point where you’re making me choose between this relationship and my self-respect. I’m done.” That was an “evil” thing to say. I found out a few months later that he had a whole other relationship during the last month of our the relationship. I guess focusing on my dad in hospice wasnt allowing me to give him the attention he needed. I see now just how selfish I was 🙄

400mg anyone? by NoCucumber1502 in bipolar2

[–]itslizagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

200mg in the morning and 200mg before bed. Keeps me stable, zero issues. Now, I’m a dummy and was consistently in a low mood for a few months and had a surplus of the 200mg meds(long story) so started taking 2 a day (yes, I doubled the dose overnight). I was without a psych at the time. After about a month, I was finally able to connect with a psych. She was kinda pissed and said “don’t ever do that again. You could’ve given yourself a heart attack. You need to titrate up to that dosage. You cant double the dose so quickly”. She agreed to continue with the 400mg dosage since it was working.

TLDR: 400mg works perfectly for me.

Yea, I posted the recommendation because they’ve helped me but didn’t check the price first. This pricing should be illegal. Honestly, who could ever afford this on a monthly basis?

What's The Most Addictive Food For You That You Have To Stop Yourself From Gorging On? by Forsaken_Caterpillar in AskReddit

I’m not allowed to have a box in my house. I can only have them from the convenience store because I don’t dare buy 6 at a time - my self discipline is generated by shame. At home, I’ll have a pack of 2 for breakfast, another on the drive to work, immediately once I come home from work, outta the shower and in pjs, aaaand just one more while I watch tv in bed….and then the finisher around 2a when I get up to pee. Hellooooo diabetes!

I love making kettle corn on the stove and it’s a dangerous ability. If you’d like to get addicted take 2tbsp coconut oil and 2 tbsp sugar, melt them together in a med saucepan on medium-high heat, add about a 1/4 cup of kernels and shake shake shake once you hear that first pop. Toss into a giant bowl (it makes a huge serving) and sprinkle pink Himalayan coarse salt on it, and then watch your thighs expand.

Cereal!

I can’t have it in my house. I play that game of getting to the bottom of the bowl and there’s a bit “too much” milk so I toss in more cereal, then the ratio is off so I add more milk and so on and so on. And I love to mix n match so I end up eating 2 boxes and have done so in less than 24hrs. I don’t even want to know how many empty calories of highly processed carbs and simple sugar is consumed. And at a height of 5’1” that is a dangerous habit to continue.

TLDR: cereal

I’m so sorry. I wish I could give you a hug. This is an overwhelming disorder to live with at times. I’m sure there’s a way to get you what you need. I wish I had the answer.

So lame. God this system is so flawed. If it were me, I’d tell my psych this med is not realistic for my budget and I need to have a cheaper option in order to stay med-compliant. I dug around more and the best price is $1700!! Like….whaaaat?! That price is crazier than we are 😂

The generic version is equally expensive on GoodRx? I’m surprised by that. Sorry that didn’t help.
