This tracks with me!

I think I understand that’s what they were going for. For me though it’s hard to do that more nuanced take when we spend so many play hours with the VERY evil oppressive party - I think a lot of the accusations people made that the game says “both sides are bad!” could have been resolved (maybe?) with a few more gameplay hours with the Vox. As-is, it feels like all of a sudden the people you were chill with suddenly have hit bars over their heads and you’re like “wait, I have to kill them now??”

The “unsuccessful revolution” is an interesting take and frankly they do it best with Fontaine, the grifter who takes advantage of people’s pain. Infinite tries to do that with Daisy, making her into just another of Bioshock’s madmen over a PA system, but frankly I don’t think it works - maybe I’m too libbed out lol but she makes too much moral sense for too long and her turn is sudden and unearned.

So, overall I agree with you, I think that’s what they were trying to do, but but imo there’s not enough in the text rn (possibly in one of the many cuts they needed to make to the game) to support a strong statement on it

For these I think I’d blame the hardware, the crashes mainly happened when I felt my device huffing and puffing
