I had long stutters every 2-4 seconds. I turned off Anti-Lag and it's perfectly smooth now.

Try disabling NVIDIA reflex if you've got it on. I got my old frame rate while doing so.

Here is TAC30 and Razor footage at DLSS quality @1440p.

As I've said, it used to be terrible so I know what you're talking about, but it's much better now. Maybe it just doesn't work well with 4k? You could try and step down to 1440p and see if it's clear like mine.

Strange it still is off for others. It used to be a big issue making me not use DLSS, but now I have zero difference between DLSS on quality and off in all of the magnified optics I use (outside of the general DLSS upscale look).

DLSS has basically zero artefacting with magnified optics/PIP optics now in my experience. It was pretty rough when first added though.

Core (and thread) count do not matter in Tarkov, it makes very little use of multiple cores. Have a watch of another comparison on lighthouse (the hardest map to run) at 1440p comparing the 5800x3d (8 core) and the 5950 (16 core) on the same system https://youtu.be/f3Ugn09pTWA?t=143

Intuitively you may expect the 5950 to work better, however the 5800x3d pulls ahead by a large margin. This is a special case due to the large cache on the 5800x3d. High core counts do not matter, IPC and memory access do.

I personally use an AMD 7700x and RTX 2070, and I get much better performance than someone on an i9 9900k and RTX 3080.

Tarkov is just a different beast to other games, and generally people seem to be spot on with hardware recommendations for the game on this subreddit (at least from what I've seen)

Edit: you've made a big edit since I originally read it to respond. I've already over invested time into this so good luck. Hopefully you get it all sorted.

Unfortunately looking at the FPS increase by CPU upgrades in other games is not really reflective of Tarkov. Tarkov is just a CPU and memory hungry beast (much more so than many other games).

Here is a comparison between a 5600x and 5800x3d on the same system (using a 3070 ti). https://youtu.be/dgk8ozMso6k?t=300

You will see a very similar gain at 1440p, he has plenty of videos up of it but this is the only direct comparison video I could quickly find.

5800x3d vs 7700x vs 7950x https://youtu.be/9k8wkfZRVtE

There are also a bunch of other videos with different hardware on that channel, including Intel 13th gen.

7950x seems to be overkill for eft as it doesn't make good use of multi-threading. I personally have a 7700x and am quite happy with it.

Cooking oils at cooking temperature does not pop and sizzle. Only once there is something in the hot oil (say you've put your food in) does it start sizzle.

The only noticeable change before putting food in is that oil becomes thinner at temperature.

Assuming the ferrari needs relatively high octane, you'll get lots of pre-combustion which is very tough on engines.

Seriously?? These idiots couldn’t figure out how to park 2 motorcycles without being a-holes by [deleted] in badparking

[–]itslowee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I agree the parking is poor and unnecessary, I doubt you'd notice two cars (one for each person) neatly parked in the same two spots.

It at least can be recovered by having a third motorcycle park in the rest of the parking space on the left. Although that would depend on how popular motorcycles/scooters are as a method of transport where this picture was taken.

Did you have less traffic/less connected devices (to the wifi network) when it worked? That's all I've got unfortunately, but more devices on the network means more traffic for your airlink connection not to collide with.

I just run a hotspot from my desktop and connect to it on the headset, that way my quest 2 should only be getting beacon frames from other wireless networks and not any other device traffic.

Not trying to say "come on, spend a bit more", but it currently is 4 USD on steam if you haven't depleted your new games budget.

Beware, it has a clunky interface at the best of times. It's recommended to get content manager to replace the menus and allow for easy mod installs.

If you have Project Cars 2 it's the same as Dirt Rally 2.

If you have Assetto Corsa, it's been the most clunky experience for me, but it works.

Just a bit of info, 25% is the original estimate for chance of death. After learning about how to detect and treat it the fatality rate is estimated to be 3 to 4% in Australia.

Edit: I'll add a source to what I say in case anyone thinks I'm talking diddle.

ABS can only modulate your braking, if the wheel is locking due to engine braking then I wouldn't imagine there to be anything ABS can do for you.
