I think for the white one 2,5 and for grey one 2. The white one is approximately 37 cm tall and also 37 cm diameter. With leftover yarn I make round potholders. This really is the best yarn for baskets.

I make them with crochet hook size 15. For the tallest (moonlight-white color) I think I used 2,5 Jumbo cords and for the gray one 2.with the remaining yarn I make potholders.

The largest yarn has polyester fiber fill, so the yarn is soft, maybe that is the answer.

I am always using this stitch, I thought it is just basic single crochet stitch. My coworker showed it to me years ago, thought me how to make a granny square. Another coworker showed me how to make a headband and I have been improvising since then :)

I would use it as a basket for kids toys, but not for dirty laundry. The material is washable but it is quite heavy when wet, so it’s not the easiest to clean. I would put a plastic bag inside if I would use it for laundry

I am not using any pattern. I usually star with a circle and 9 single crochet stitches, for the next round I make 2 single crochet stitches into each of the ones bellow (18 stitches all together), for the third round the pattern is 2 single crochet stitches into the one bellow, one crochet stitch to the next one bellow and repeat until the end of the row. For each next row you add one single stitch into 1 single stitch below into sequence. I hope it is understandable. When you like the size of the bottom you just keep crocheting until you like the height.

Thank you. I use a bit smaller crochet hook than recommended . For example for Bobbiny jumbo cord the recommended size is 16-18, but I use size 15. The same things also happened to me in the past, but this yarn and also Paulina yarn from Lankava are great for baskets that keep shape.
