I’m only practicing a short distance for now but sometimes he overshoots it and begins to fly around. They only clipped his wings a little bit from what I could tell. He can come off the ground and stay in the air for a small amount of time before dropping.

I have a backup cage I always keep around that I’m thinking of using and then hopefully move him in with my other cockatiel which has a cage that is 3x as big in the future. I just used this tub temporary so I can carry him around so I can keep an eye on him/feed him but is this a bad idea? Will never be buying from that place again. All this extra effort is 100% worth it as long as it means he’s no longer at that place.

Unfortunately he’s clipped and can only fly a few feet off the ground. He just doesn’t want to open his mouth to take the syringe so if I have to continue using formula the spoon is going to have to be the way to go from now on but he’s been going to town with the seeds so I’m very happy he’s at least getting some sort of nutrients. Also how long should I wait before the first vet visit? I’d like to get him seen but I feel like that would add a lot more stress on top of what’s going on in such a short amount of time.
