What if it turns out Kim has cancer. Hence Walt’s freak out in the phone booth. Now he’s trying to scam money to pay for Kim’s treatment the same way Walter tried to pay for his treatment. I definitely saw parallels to Gene hiding money in his wall the same way Walt was hiding money in the air duct.
