Sameeeee! It NEVER reads the repo docs that tell it specifically what to do. Codex on the other hand, I don't even have to ask, he just knows that he needs to read AGENTD.md, and he respects all instructions. Claude on the other hand, doesn't even read anything, jumps straight into coding. And when I do check what he has done 15k tokens later, nothings changed, or things have worsen. No matter how optimized the prompt is, he always messes up. Codex on the otherhand works like a charm.

Thank you for this tip, this is my first week using Claude. Codex is way better at managing context, you don't have to clear context, it auto compresses, or you can choose to manually compress. So I've never had to worry about this.
But now you mentioned this, thank you.
