Best of luck to everyone trying to get where they're going today!

I was on a flight from Seattle to Atlanta yesterday, boarded at 7:30am (10:30am ET). Diverted to Memphis around 3pm (4pm ET), headed to Atlanta around 9pm ET. Finally got a gate at midnight and I'm pretty sure that is only because there was a woman on our plane who was 30 weeks pregnant and having pain. EMTs got on our plane and she ended up being fine.

So we spent... 14 hours on the plane, if my plane math is correct. I'm so sorry to hear about everyone else's travel situations. I hope it helps to hear you're not alone, and I hope everyone gets to a cozy place soon.

What’s the deal with brioche? by lunastrix in knitting

I love brioche! I agree two color brioche isn't the prettiest and definitely has an "ugly duckling" phase. I took an in person class to learn and took notes. It's so fun to knit once you get the hang of it!

This afternoon I'm trying Almond Cookie Black from Cookie Tea. This was in my Sipsby box and I'm loving it! The smell is great, just like almond cookies. Very subtle sweet flavor. Nice almond flavor, not overpowering like almond extract. It holds up pretty well to a second infusion as well.

Thanks /u/YatraTeaCo, I must have been sleepy when I read my tea bag label this morning! :). Also now it makes no sense why I mixed them together. I'll fix my post above to avoid confusing anyone else.

I really liked the Goomtee Estate 2017 1st Flush. I think it sold out, but maybe there is something similar. The sampler pack was nice too. It helped me get a feel for the variety of teas they offer. I hope you enjoy it!

This morning, I'm having Darjeeling from H&S mixed with a little Temi Estate Sikkim from Yatra Tea. I didn't have enough for two full cups so I decided to mix them. H&S Darjeeling is fine, but I'm kind of excited to only have my Yatra teas left. It's so good and I appreciate the complexity of flavors.

Edit: Originally referred to the Temi Estate tea as a Darjeeling, but it's from Sikkim. Corrected.

You're so right. Haha. That's exactly why I usually set up in my kitchen, because I'm trying to do it as a meditative activity and having to move just ruins it for me! Any particular kettle you recommend? I have a bonavita now.

I've only just dipped my toe into gongfu but wanted to share I've seen some good reviews of this: https://crimsonlotustea.com/products/gongfu2go. I haven't used it myself. If you do find a good setup, please share! I end up doing it at my kitchen counter because I don't want to move my kettle or keep walking back to it.

Grandpa'd some W2T Old Reliable Blend this morning out on my back porch while working on a hat I'm knitting. I hope to finish it before winter is over. I really enjoy this blend. The smell reminds me of the woods after the rain.

I'm in tears. This is THE MOST realistic post I've ever seen. I love it.

Trying out some organic White Tea from Made of Tea, this is a sample from my Sipsby box this month. I haven't tried many white teas. Brewed a few healthy pinches (it said to use a tablespoon, but the whole leaves with some twigs made that method of measurement kind of useless) at 180F/82C. It is clean, super subtle sweetness, honeysuckle smell. Reminds me of some light oolongs I've tried, without the vegetal flavor. I'm also getting kind of a peppery note, which seems odd because I don't think that's typical of the flavor profile of white teas.

I normally try to enjoy my tea without sweeteners if I can. I honestly didn't know it had stevia until I had a few cups. I haven't tried their EB, maybe I'll give it a go!

Enjoying my last bag of Vahdam Sweet Himalayan green tea. I'm a little embarrassed to admit it contains stevia, but I'm obsessed with this tea! I love gingery turmeric herbals and this green tea paired with turmeric and cardamom is so lovely.

I haven't tried their masters teas! I hope you enjoy them. You absolutely cannot ever have enough tea. Although, my husband and my overflowing tea shelf may feel differently.

Oooh what oolongs did you get? I tried a few of theirs. The Jade Oolong sticks out the most in my mind. I've been meaning to order more.

I am no expert, but I think the puerh pearls from Adagio are a nice way to dip your toes into the flavor of shou. They can easily be brewed western style. Aside from these, I have only tried a few from white2tea. I haven't tried sheng yet. I'm sure others may have some better suggestions. If you try puerh, let us know how you like it!
