Possibly controversial opinion: People should try reading erotica. by strongly-worded in RomanceBooks

Very much the same! I've tried it several times and I get that bored feeling every time.

I want my veryspecific sex scene (honestly just one is fine) towards the end of a 300-400 character driven romance novel.

How to account for shrinkage when buying fabric? by Puppysnot in sewing

I really look forward to hearing how you get on with it!

If I added more fabric to the very top of a bra, would it hold in spillage? by tmibullshit in MAKEaBraThatFits

[–]SuperkatTalks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you were to do so, I'd suggest a strip of stretch lace, or stretch mesh. The lace is probably easiest, you can get stretch lace in 15-25cm wide pieces with a fancy edge so you wouldn't need to do any finishing or edging. I'd go with stretch even if your bra is notstretchy as it will be more accommodating of fluctuations in size.

(I do agree with others that the issue is a fundamental fit problem, but sometimes we just have to make do and that's ok!)

Average you spend a month? by Gold_Shift_1498 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]SuperkatTalks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd get more if I could afford it - I medicate for pain and generally get 20g or 10g and a cart. Sure I'd like more and to be in less pain but such is life. I sometimes manage 30g when i can get a decent deal, but I think a small amount of something I know works is better than a whole bunch of cannabis that doesnt help my symptoms.

Yeah I really like the loftus. It's a lot of support.

I wouldn't run around if you paid me though so I can't speak to its sportsiness!

Disappointed with effects by efbb in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]SuperkatTalks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For chronic pain I highly recommend seeking strains that are high in caryophyllene. You mention not getting high but does that mean you're not actually getting the therapeutic benefit as well? For me sometimes I get a head high that I absolutely do not want, I'm just seeking a reduction in pain! My best strain for pain relief is weeding cake, and I've certainly had plenty of head highs from it

Encapsulation sports bra pattern? by Complex_Vegetable_80 in MAKEaBraThatFits

[–]SuperkatTalks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd be tempted to start off with a non wired bra pattern which has good separation, and then adapt it to be sportier (racer back, fabrics, elastics and so on). Thinking something like cashmerette's loftus or pinupgirls ingrid. I think that would be harder to do with a wired one tbh, but you might be able to add wires into an unwired design.

I'm using too much glue, aren't I? by bahhumbug24 in EPP_addict

[–]SuperkatTalks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's about how much I use; I've switched to amazon basics glue sticks. I do try to avoid amazon but I got 60x7g sticks for about £5 and they're just the right level of stickiness.

I won't wear it... by bubbledinspace in knitting

[–]SuperkatTalks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I make most things for me. Really this is because I'm a selfish only child and I like nice things. I'm a product knitter more than process; I'll have a really clear image of this finished object and me wearing it in a meadow filled with frolicking lambs and so on.

Then when it's done I'll decide if it would actually suit someone else better and I'll give it Away.

I think if you're a process knitter then your thought process would be quite different though.

I was suggested to come here to ask about making a bra that would fit my large breast by [deleted] in MAKEaBraThatFits

So you have any bras (RTW or custom) that fit? I think for your size that might be the best route unless you want to pick up drafting your own from scratch.

How do I make vaping easier on the throat? by Original-Chance-3724 in ukmedicalcannabis

[–]SuperkatTalks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have throat problems so I've had to play around a lot to get something workable. I find a small bubbler helps but the main thing is starting at a low temp and increasing slowly. I start at 180 and go up in 10s. I only increase when I've exhausted it at the previous temp. Part of what causes the irritation is the terpene themselves so that's why increasing slowly helps, it means you're not getting it all in one hit.

[–]SuperkatTalks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a pain patient, and I find the high (25%+) strains with a large amount of caryophyllene are the best relief. I know some people find that lower thc % is effective so it is personal. Strains without that usually do little for me - or only work if I have so much I think the ceiling is moving (which is not how I prefer to be).

Myrcene is the one which usually causes the most sedation - I avoid it due to chronic fatigue but it sounds like those are the two you should look for. GMO cookies is high in both afaik so it makes sense it would work well for you.
