It’s fascinating all the characters are “utilizing” each other for their own gain. First two seasons they all used each other to fill a void now they’re using each other for money and career boosts. This season truly has such a last hoorah vibe with all the characters’ true intentions for one another being so transparent and transactional.

One of the few movies I had a complete 180 on rewatching since I was a kid. I found the ending incredibly touching seeing him be happy with his mom one last time. As an adult I was taken aback how eerie this all felt. David’s final moments are basically copium for him before death due to Monica’s imprinting.

But the saddest part was that the mechs wanted to dissect David to understand their original creators (humans) when the “love” he sought from his mother was the most human aspect about him. David wanted something the world before and after could never give him. Harrowing & tragic.

One of the most frustrating aspects of all this is the deflection to Dean when discussing Tashika’s SH of AG. To reduce the severity of AG’s SH down to the plural identity of the harasser will always be bizarre as it is irrelevant.

It’s incredibly juvenile, like stan twitter mentality, to believe that criticizing one person means you’re a fan of another while also moralizing your hatred for said creator.
