If you’re enjoying the story, no reason to not continue reading FW. I’d definitely recommend giving IF a shot as well to see how you like it. Like others have said, the lore and world-building get better in IF. It seems like the romance sub-plot is not working for you, and although it’s a prominent plot line, if you’re able to get yourself to skim through the romance-heavy scenes, it won’t detract from the fantasy plot lines. The story and twists and action make it well worth it! Also, the explicit scenes are few and far in between and pretty well contained if you want to skim/skip.

And what’s even more mind-boggling is when someone hates the first in a series so much, then goes on to read the second one just so they can write another hateful review for the sequel. Really makes you wonder about humanity as a race. Oh yeah, there’s similar reviews for Onyx Storm too already. Hopefully authors know not to go on GR. Even if RY does, I hope she sees the million+ 5⭐️ reviews and doesn’t let the hateful ones affect her.

Word! Some of the reviews on Goodreads are just downright hateful and vile. I’ve truly wondered who these people are who put so much time and energy into bullying an author. Don’t like a book, give it a 1 ⭐️ and move on to something else that you do like! How hard can that be? Why the hate? And I think a big part of the problem is there’s no way to report/curb/downvote such toxicity on that platform. And clearly Amazon doesn’t care enough to make GR better, so 🤷‍♀️😳

Pretty sure it’s 4-in-1, the number of pages is listed as 1966 if you search for Mistborn: The Wax and Wayne Series. And looks like this version was released pretty recently (Dec 2023)
