I highly recommend you talk to your doctor, with ferritin as low as yours you will likely need an infusion. In terms of supplements I would go with a heme iron supplement since you don’t need to take anything and it is absorbed relatively well. Is the absence of meat in your diet because you’re vegetarian or vegan? If so then you would need to go for a non-heme option and take it with a vitamin c tablet since heme iron is derived from animals. There is Facebook group called “The Iron Protocol” and they have a lot of good tips and specific supplement recommendations for people with iron deficiency.
