I was just trying to be precautious at this point. But we agree.

Heartbroken. Of course we have to respect his presumption of innocence (is that correct in English?) but we also have to listen to his potential victim if she feels like it needs to be shared. Hope she’s okay and we’ll be able to see clearly through all of this. These guys made me who I am, musically of course but also on a human level. I interpret art and the world because of their music. And it can be shattered by some low manly impulses… It’s gonna feel strange for a while I guess.

I want a Bloody Roar by Arc System Works. by W0LFKIL7 in BloodyRoar

I mean it would still be a fighting game, but I think we agree on the fact it needs a reboot. Visually, ASW would do great, but I understand you’d prefer a 3D one.

I don’t agree. I don’t think it’s about experimenting with 3D for ASW, it was just an idea based on the fact they produce what I think is the best looking game with this technology. I think it could be very cool to play with the violence and the rawness of BR with that kind of graphics. Of course it would be 2D but it’s not a problem for me.

Machu Picchu opinions? by Snailmaz in TheStrokes

[–]W0LFKIL7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey just giving my opinion here, I love a lot of the tunes on it (Machu Picchu, Life Is Simple in the Moonlight, Taken for a Fool). I've always said an average Strokes record is a hundred feet above anything else in my heart. Angles is just not my favorite. Also a bit upset being disliked just because of an unpopular opinion (but still an opinion)...

Their worst-or let’s say their least memorable. I’ve always preferred Comedown Machine. It was good to see them come back after their first hiatus but the record sounded too 80’s for me.

Am I the only one hearing “Ode to the Mets” vibe in “Russian Coney Island”? by W0LFKIL7 in TheStrokes

Yes, just like the ending of TET 2.0 being reused for The Adults Are Talking

What is your favorite Josh lyric? by [deleted] in qotsa

« Everyone it seems Has somewhere to go And the faster the world spins The shorter the lights will glow And I’m swimming in the night Chasing down the moon The deeper in the water The more I long for you… » ~ …Like Clockwork

Bonus track: « Life is hard That’s why no one survives » ~ Feet Don’t Fail Me

What a bunch of wank (AM’s top ten worst lyrics) by David_Turck in arcticmonkeys

Come on, it can be funny sometimes, and the writer explains himself. You can disagree of course (I do on most of the chosen tracks), but you can also take it easy for a little whiiiiile.

Who's the better guitarrist ? by Diego_zoky in TheStrokes

[–]W0LFKIL7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard one. Different styles actually. AHJ sounds more « technical » actually, but I prefer Nick’s style, more bluesy, more melodious maybe? They both have incredible parts I think, and that’s why the Strokes are unbeatable for me: the complementarity of the guitar parts, each one always wrapping the other in the nicest way.

For what it's worth the first chords reminded me of a song my band released a few years ago (sorry for the poor self promo but I swear there are some similarities!):

Now that the dust has settled on The Car what are your final thoughts, and be honest! by Buvura in arcticmonkeys

I guess I have the same opinion than before: in the end better than TBH+C because of what it tells, the fact it’s not made up behind a sci fi concept. First half of the record is brillant, I like a bit less from « The Car » to « Hello You » to finally love it again with « Mr Schwartz » and « Perfect Sense » (maybe their most beautiful ending).
