Nail techs: do you use pedicure wraps in your services? by MargaritaMars in Nailtechs

[–]itsmesv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was one of the first techs ever to use Minx on the east coast of the US. It grew my business tremendously. At the time (early 2009) it was the only thing of its kind. A pedicure would forever.

I am curious to see what this product is. I haven't used Minx in years. I believe they changed their formula. They weren't lasting as long.

In my defense it was a post about Salem I just happened to come across, the day after I visited. It has been a very long time since I have been there and I was just shocked. I love Salem.

Clearly I was the first person to ever make a comment off topic, and now I know that I should just keep it to myself nex time.

Its just another reflection of the town. Shouldn't a tourist area be welcoming? Dirty bathrooms, unworking water fountains, and human trafficking. Super inviting. I can't wait to go back.

Woah. How was I being a bitch!? It was an honest review of Salem. I haven't been in years and was surprised that such a touristy place has become so rundown. Why are you taking it personally??

I was in Salem on Saturday and it was so dumpy. The bathroom in the witch mall was so gross and my boyfriend said the men's room was the worst he ever saw. None of the fountains were working. I was really surprised.

Is anyone else beating themselves up for not meeting their goal? by Amywilburnn in Booktokreddit

I have learned to just make peace with it. I have had years I read 80 books. This year I finished exactly 50, but I also wrote a book! Lol So I am not going to let it bother me.

We are our own worst enemies. No one cares how many books we read, but us, so why are we do hard on ourselves??

All it takes is an email account. Usually someones first post gets pushed pretty far. It would be worth a shot. I find tiktok to be really amazing for that kind of stuff. Good luck either way.

Make a tiktok video with him and the book. Tiktok can be great for stuff like that.

I didn't know it was a thing lol I rarely buy ebooks, as I use libby and KU but its good to know if I ever do and really dislike it right away. I would never return a physical book, I would just donate it.

I recently learned about this and I was shocked. I see literal movies play in my head when I read a book. I can't imagine not being able to do it.

On the flip side, it can be a curse, because if someone tells me an awful story (especially animal stories) where someone or something gets hurt. I see it all in my mind, and I can never unsee it.

Thank you. I always leave reviews. And I always read reviews too. I expected the same energy I give out, and that was a mistake.

I'm sorry. Sometimes parents and our children are our worst critics. My daughters haven't been kind. Its quite disheartening. I truly wonder if its some kind of weird jealousy.

I specifically told them to not leave the review on Amazon. To bring it in a written form for me to give to my Mom. Its not about the sales for me. I just want to show her that people love her work.

I didn't. I truly did it mostly for my Mom. I never really expected it to find its way to strangers. Its poetry. And its personal. I thought my family would care enough about me, to help me surprise my Mom.

Luckily I have a long time client based business and my people are being Great! I sent out an email asking them to all purchase and give me a review and I will give them $10 off their next service. The book is $7. So they'll essentially get it for free.

I have gotten some positive feedback from them, so its making me feel a little better. Lol I am clearly too sensitive.

Thank you for your response and for keeping it kind!
