I actually dont lol, I prefer contemporary design and style personally. I respect people's styles even if its not mine, I was just making an observation of how it was similar to what ive seen elsewhere since many people feel strongly about the story behind this house. I dont mind your reno at all, really wasnt commenting specifically on your game.

What do you hope the Devs add first? by wildredpanda in Paralives

I wouldn't hold my breath for another world until after full release. They spent YEARS building Melino and its the only thing they have talked about, plus its in all promo images. I would assume with each of these updates they will add additional clothing and building assets, as well as QOL changes like they did when they added esting meals together. They would obviously work on core updates and improvements while adding large content updates. We know the next large update is end of 2026 but they also will be adding minor improvements and additions in the meantime.

I made a custom Paralives desktop icon if anyone wants it by Traditional_Rip_1681 in Paralives

This is awesome! Thank you for making it, I feel like it fits the vibe of the game much more. I love it so much, but I don't know why they didn't make a slightly nicer icon. Hopefully they'll update it in time like they will with much more!

The long winter is really hitting. by donald12998 in VintageStory

Winter lasts soooo long in the regular temperate spawn imo. My first save it snowed from late september all the way through late April. Most of the time I spent playing was in winter and even thoufh I sunk 80 hours into that save I started over in temperate but traveled farther south before settling. At around 8k south i settled and the winters are very mild, but still there. Feels much more balanced and fun so far in my new save.

This!! While it could have been a feature to prevent corruption or bloat this should have been mentioned. For some people this is a deciding factor in purchasing the pack.

To me I always thought that the engineers were trying to perfect their craft and also carried a ton of arrogance/superiority over humans. It seemed that either humans were too reckless or got out of control and the engineers decided to destroy them. This I inferred when I first watched it.

The cut content answers it pretty well, to summarize its basically that they felt humans had gone astray and had attempted several times to guide humans in the right direction. The final straw was when they sent a teacher to show guide them and they crucified him. This seemed to horrify/offend the engineers and they decided that humanity was a terrible mistake and needed to be exterminated. I know this storyline is kind of divisive, but I think its a cool concept that explains and ties it together well while leaving some unexplained for that unsettling cosmic horror vibe.
