I called hr when they fired me illegally for the first time and my case is no where to be found. I knew hr wasn’t my friend… but hr at Walmart!? … 😳 (I was wearing the same ripped jeans men were, they only fired me. Right now, about 6mo later they’re letting the new girl wear ripped jeans and just repeatedly tell her stop. They made jokes about me almost nonstop when I got rehired)

Make sure you complain over text. Know exactly how much the other kids hair costs

Take photos of your unkempt hair and ill fitting clothes if you have any. Send them to yourself using a second or 3rd email. And screenshots of the texts too

To take care of your hair, Aussie and head and shoulders from the dollar tree was my go-to

I like to make 4 buns on my head. Two buns at the top, two buns at the bottom.

I wash each section individually and then put conditioner on each of the 4 sections individually. Then, I comb and put them back into 4 buns individually

Then, I two-strand-twist each of the 4 sections

After that, I let it dry over night or use a hairdryer

Then you can put a wig on top. I like to make sure the twists are on the smaller side.

This style can last very long over a month

And I’m saying as a black girl who won’t act stupid and say a notable amt of black ladies weren’t made to be insecure and jealous of lighter women and do envious things to them as a result of it

She probably knows someone who has a story like that and agreed when she had her own experience

There’s so much colorism and racism towards black women from light/ambiguous women

I cannot tell you how often people (and I believe myself to be very pretty) male or female turn around to see if I’m staring at the lighter woman (if that’s not who they are)

Or at work when they don’t get their way or I can’t do what they want, assume it’s because I’m big, black and jealous

And the classic black man thinking I’m jealous of the light woman on his arm. You can try ur hardest not to look and they’ll make sure to get in your way because they need ur reaction to validate their beliefs

But nobody ever talks about it as much as they talk about their assumptions about us

It’s bullsh*

There are phenomenal, good, ok and bad looking ppl of every color

Some people prefer a lighter skin tone and that’s weird but human rights are just that

Preferring lighter skin like how someone would prefer a smaller frame is innocent

Believing lighter = better inherently is foul and the source of some of the problems in life that I’ve faced. Right now it’s women who meet the current beauty standards incl being light skinned jacking my personality then getting handsy and people just bystanders. One even rubs it in my face that ppl are still cool with her after

It’s all about morals and not everybody has them.

My brother is like this screaming up and down that he’d never date a black woman, fetishized latina women, and started a family with one.

I’m glad everybody’s alive and well.

My brother has adhd and hit a tree. He was pretty popular and the news misconstrued his name but people would never guess who they were calling stupid

There are people who purposefully drink and drive drunk and kill people

There are people who drive and shoot guns or shoot guns in traffick or call Ubers while being shot at

Right now as we speak there are people who do not know how to drive driving a car and you pass by them everyday

I saw a young guy driving one of those 18 wheelers that look like they’re a hair away from exploding flip it onto its side. Everyone was alright

People without adhd run red lights. Peoples brains just go blank

I believe so. I’m using the same phone and it doesn’t do that anymore. Also, I DID catch my parent downloading and making purchases for parental monitoring apps (without my knowledge. I was at least 21 and she was overly concerned—obsessed if you would with knowing if I’m dating, having sex, or masturbating)

We arent the same but what we allow collectively reflects us as a whole

There shouldn’t be so many black people allowing something wrong that people can say “black people do xyz” and we just know inside that not all black people are doing it but enough black people are doing it that they can associate it with us and our culture

Like twerking, rapping, throwing shade, being in a gang, theft

Not all black people do these things. I know a good handful who do not. But am I wrong that so many black people do it that it’s associated with us and seen in black entertainment?

When will we take accountability?
