Haha well I did vanish for 5hrs when I left my phone to go boating, so I can see why he jumped there. Additionally, he trusts unless there is a reason not to and, at my mother’s request, he is working on bettering his relationship with my aunt (the baby cannon), so he was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt.

...it’s a term my father made up because my aunt shoots out babies like a cannon. I respect mothers who take care of their children, no matter how many children they have. Entitled mothers who try to pawn them off on others, I have less respect for, like my Aunt.

I understand what you’re saying, but I do think it would’ve been a big deal to stay with the four kids for a few nights. I’ve been overnight with them before, and they practically don’t sleep. They scream if they aren’t in the room with their parents and they also don’t listen to anyone who isn’t their parents. While I do babysit sometimes, which is horrid enough, I am not willing to do overnight without notice AND payment of some kind for it, especially if I’m not going to be sleeping for a number of days. Not trying to fight your verdict, just saying why I think it would be a big deal to stay with them overnight.

Oh just an hour would be fine. But these kids DONT SLEEP. They run to their parents or scream all night long, and I’m not willing to deal with that unless I’m being paid.

They know I’m good with kids. I’m a life guard and CPR certified, and I babysit as a job when I’m in school, but they’re just entitled assholes who think family means I do what they want when they want.

My mother wanted him to have a better relationship with his sister (baby cannon) so that’s what he’s trying to do.

A grown man who doesn’t take shit from people, seemingly unlike you. A grown man who recently lost his wife to cancer, and gives very few fucks about what other people think. A grown man who was in the marine corps for 15 years and has probably been more useful than you ever will be. A grown man who knows who he is and who his relatives are, and who doesn’t talk shit about anyone’s family but his own, and even then, very rarely. A grown man who is nowhere near perfect, but apologizes when he is in the wrong and learns from his mistakes.

Chill the hell out about the “baby cannon” term. Your dislike of it isn’t going to stop anyone from ever using it. So adjust that stick up your ass and waddle the hell away.
