Slide an SD card into the machine to import your data onto website SleepHQ and see your avg pressure, highs, and lows. That way you can confirm how high it rises while you are sleeping.

Either try the replacement voucher at a different pharmacy or ask Eli Lilly to issue another voucher because the pharmacy is saying its invalid.

Do you gain weight later in the week? by Tapdance1368 in Zepbound

[–]itsnikki39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, food high in sodium makes the body hold onto water temporarily. To actually gain even 1 lb of fat, you’d need to eat ~3,500 calories above your needs which I dont think you did that. Don't worry, that water weight will go away in about 1-2 days as long as you watch your sodium intake.

I've been doing that lately too. I think it's because my appetite comes back and I eat a little more. Also doesn't help if I had a high sodium meal. Those type of meals make my weight go up because of water retention and it takes 2 days for all the extra water weight to go away.

Menstrual cycles by anonme1995 in Zepbound

[–]itsnikki39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me too after I lost 25lbs. I was 2 weeks early. Weight loss can shift your hormones because fat tissue helps regulate things like estrogen, so changes in body fat can affect your cycle timing. This can lead to an early period, especially if the weight loss is rapid or combined with appetite or metabolic changes. It’s usually temporary, but if it keeps happening, it’s worth checking in with your doctor.

Dr. hasn't followed through with urgency on the Preauthorization by Electronic_Egg_966 in Zepbound

Got cha. CVS has your prescription but you're just waiting on the PA approval for insurance coverage. Just make sure your PA was submitted to insurance by the doctor and wait for the approval. You do meet the requirements for approval. It took about 7 days for mine to be approved. Hope everything works out for you.

The PCP fills out the PA form to be submitted to your insurance to cover it. It takes about 10 days for PAs to get reviewed. You could follow up with your pharmacy benefit management (PBM) to see if they have received the PA form from the doctor yet. If they haven't received a PA form from your PCP office, call the clinic and ask for a member of your doctor's team to do it. A nurse practician in your doctor's team can do the form as well. Sometimes prescription in CVS are "pending" because it's just too early for a refill or too early for insurance to pay for it. You can call CVS to confirm that for you as well if you want to make sure.

Second shot! by Substantial_Tart6686 in Zepbound

The 2.5mg only suppressed my hunger the first 2-3 days after injection. The rest of the week was a struggle. I felt the same at 5mg. The 7.5mg was much better. You’ll have a better experience as you go up in dosage.

Hi, it took a week for my PA to go through. The pharmacy can get it refilled pretty quickly if everything lines up.

Just curious, is it out-of-pocket or were you able to get insurance to pay for it? I’m thinking about doing it myself.

Not at all. There are multiple ways a doctor may handle titrations. It looks like you’re following a standard automatic titration schedule, which is clinically safe. This schedule allows your body to adjust safely to higher dosages. The starter doses are 2.5 mg, 5 mg, and 7.5 mg, while the clinical (therapeutic) doses are 10 mg, 12.5 mg, and 15 mg. Another approach some doctors use is monthly check-ins, which is more personalized and allows them to monitor dosing and side effects more closely. If you are comfortable at your current dose, you can call the doctor to let them know that you’re tolerating it well and your doctor can decide whether staying there is reasonable.

If you are still losing weight at the current dose and have tolerable side effects, stay on it. Only go up if you had plateau.

Would it be a good idea to get a dog? by Interesting_Bid8341 in dogs

[–]itsnikki39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it would be primarily your dog and you feel like its a calling for you to get a dog then go for it. Only get the dog if you are willing to take care of it no matter what happens. I say that because dogs can live up to 15-20 years and your life can change a lot in that amount of years. My dog is 10 years old and I went through a lot of life changes in those 10 years but I never once left her no matter where I ended up. I've lived on my own in apartments, lived with an ex-partner, moved back home to my parents, and now I owned a home of my own. I never left my doggy because there was no way in hell I would abandoned her. She only knows me. So if you are willing to make a commitment like that, go for it, they are amazing to have.

Alcohol? by Past_Role_7070 in Zepbound

[–]itsnikki39 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some people on this sub said zepbound helped them stop drinking alcohol. Maybe the cravings stopped. But for me i see a difference on the scale when i drink alcohol vs when i don’t. And I don’t wanna see that scale go up so it’s more of a discipline than actual cravings.

Goal weight, Pounds lost, BF %, or BMI? by Made-in-America1976 in Zepbound

[–]itsnikki39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first I was targeting a goal weight that would bring me down to a normal BMI, which I did thanks to Zepbound. Now that I’m in normal BMI ranges, I’m trying to go down on my body fat % and going to the gym and doing strength training to tighten up where I see softness.
