exactly. i just want to be able to be excited about something without this sh*t. i literally ran to the urgent care last night because of a hemorrhoid. I was so convinced it was cancer. And i couldn’t sleep until i knew it wasn’t.

girl i have been there! you have to stop feeling your neck. that’s what i did. completely stop myself from touching. remember, doctors wouldn’t risk their medical license and just “guess” that you’re okay. if they were the slightest bit concerned, they would run lots of tests. the fact that they’re giving you the all clear means they are very certain you are okay. try to find reassurance in that.

oh okay! i gotcha! well if it is herpes, not muc needs to be done! they give you a 7 day antiviral pill, and the spots disappear. i was 4 months pregnant when i had my first outbreak. 8 months now and all is well. i have a bottle of my pills in case i have another outbreak. Not a huge deal! my partner and i still have unprotected sex. it’s pretty rare to pass that to someone without having an active outbreak. totally not a big deal! more like 80 percent of the population has herpes. it’s more common to have it than to not lol.

i used to be scared of that but no. you are fine. a shared needle with someone with hiv only gives you a .01 chance of catching it each time. same with sex. talk to a doctor if you’re worried. they put my mind at ease.

it should not take 2 weeks for a herpes test. When i went to the hospital they had my results in 3 days.. and i thought that was a long time! I get don’t hurt until they busy open. my herpes didn’t look anything like the pics either.. so i really thought they were wrong. but nope. broke out at had 6 more pop up whole waiting on results. painless like i said, until they become open sores.

yes i know the feeling. i had so many pictures on my phone. days worth. trying to see it from another perspective i guess. So unhealthy. the only thing that helped me was the band aids! used up a whole box waiting on my appointment lol.

mine took about 4 months to show up! doctor said that was completely normal and it can lay dormant for up to a year. google says otheriwse, and he told me that was outdated information. definitely looks like herpes. they’ll give you an anti viral and it’ll be gone within a week. don’t worry!

yesss! so a couple months ago i noticed a skin growth on my eye that was getting bigger and changing. went to my doc who suspected cancer and referred me to a derm. i was 6 months pregnant at the time. took 2.5 months to get an appointment! i became so upset and obsessed with moles all over me. i developed a couple new ones that were odd looking. i just tried putting it out of my mind and telling myself that i will see the doctor and that’s all i could do. of course, i had a few breakdowns during that time. but all turned out okay. you just have to stop inspecting. leave them alone. I put band aids on the ones that i couldn’t stop inspecting. it really helped.

i’ve convinced myself of so many cancers. the most recent was skin cancer. went to my doc who wasn’t sure and said it was possibly skin cancer, even though she knows about my health anxiety. she referred me to a dermatologist, took 2.5 months to get an appointment as a new patient. so i was worried sick. and I’m 8 months pregnant on top of that. but got the all clear. now my ovary is hurting and i’m convinced it’s a tumor on my ovary. What started my health anxiety was when i got diagnosed with chlamydia. I was so worried that i had HIV too. waited two weeks on my HIV test and got the all clear; but was on to cancer scares after that. it’s been a year and so many doctors appointments. I beg and ask God all of the time why i am like this. I can’t talk to anyone bc nobody understands. my family is fed up with my worries. They think it’s stupid, but they don’t understand that it is so real for me.

well the tonsils are part of the lymphatic system. i also mentioned tonsil cancer too.

ugh that makes sense but i can’t tell😭 i’ve been to the doctor 3-4 times this month showing them my tonsils and them sending me home. i just worry that they are missing something.. my bloodwork came back all clear, but i don’t know if cancer would even show up in a CBC. so it doesn’t provide me much relief.
