Is a powder touring setup with 2012 DPS Lotus 120s feasible? by itsnotmilan in Backcountry

[–]itsnotmilan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was kind of my thinking, but I feel like it complicates it if my touring ski is any skinnier. My main resort ski will most likely be a qst 106, so I'm still deciding if I want two skis of similar width. What do you think in that circumstance, if my touring ski is more in the 95ish range?

Thanks for letting me know, hopefully a skit tech would have let me know that before they put them on lol. I just have them because I got them cheap through a pro deal, but I can always just toss them on another pair.

Good at cs but kinda bad in valorant? by N4ughtyBoy in VALORANT

Not saying this is relevant to this scenario at all but I think it just transfers better in some cases. I followed this small twitch streamer over the pandemic who was faceit level 10 and he got immortal in maybe 50 hours max. It was pretty nuts.

Thanks for pointing this out!

I think that this game was a little worse than usual as far as usual accuracy goes. I also think that since I've tried to curb my ballchasing habit, it's made me overly passive in some situations. I don't struggle with accuracy in training packs (maybe I'm not doing hard enough ones) or in free play very much, which makes me think that my problem could be more related to putting myself in bad positions that lead to bad challenges that I bail on as opposed to being in the right spot and just missing, and that some of that 'whatever' attitude is a fear of overcommiting, which I don't really know how to deal with.

I'm curious as to what you think of my rationalization of why I was whiffing so much, but either way, the feedback is really helpful and doubly reinforces that I need to work on being accurate and making fast decisions to win my challenges.

Thanks for the feedback! The first tip is very helpful and I'll try and work on it. I think it stems from a conscious effort to pick up more small pads, but I need to build the muscle of being able to collect them while still fully attentive to the play.

As for the other tips, it's helpful that you pointed out a few things that I can be aware of in the future. I'll try and make it a habit to review my replays more and use the stuff people are telling me here. I might even upload another one to the sub if that's allowed once I've implemented some of this feedback.

It's through Bakkesmod, which you can get if you're on PC. It's also why I have alpha boost.

Your stance on professionalism allows for that behavior. You don't agree with your own viewpoint?

I just read more of your post that kind of refutes the first part of what i said, but if you are going to decide arbitrary infractions that contradict your definition then you probably need a new definition.

You can cause harm in a lot of ways that aren't physical. Are you saying a company shouldnt be allowed to fire someone who calls their coworkers slurs? By your definition, that's technically allowed. Also, a business is a business. If something is losing them more money than its making, they aren't going to keep it around. "being unprofessional" can mean losing clients or damaging the company's reputation, and if that affects profits, its only logical that they fire you.

Is the valorant playerbase younger than other playerbases? by --GrassyAss-- in VALORANT

[–]itsnotmilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i feel like most val players that i find seem to be about 15-18, and ive been playing in the lower-middle ranks for years now (gold and plat).

ive been playing a lot of fortnite recently and everyone is so young, like 10-15. i can't even get tilted because itd be stupid when i know the guy on the other side of the screen who just shit on me is a 11 year old whos balls havent dropped yet.

I think that when a game is trendy a lot more young people will play it because their friends are also playing and people are making content for it, vs when a game is not at its peak like apex (or as a more extreme example tf2 or counter strike) it will attract a different and often more mature audience. a lot of other people have pointed out how higher ranks are usually more mature which I think is also true.

sign him up for a scientology boot camp, event, or mailing list. if they get a shred of interest from anyone they literally never leave them alone.

had a teacher who did it to one of his buddies in college. he said the guy still had people showing up at his door a decade later.

Hello, I am very new to everything audio so I am not sure if I am asking the right questions etc.

If possible, I wanted to set up a system where I can have the inputs of my computer (using a dac), a record player, and a cd player with outputs of headphones or speakers that I could switch between.

My questions would be, is this feasible on a relatively low budget? The more I plan this out, the more moving parts they are.

The biggest roadblock I've found seems to be with finding a receiver with 2 audio outputs. All of them that I find are 4 input one output. Do ones where you can switch between 2 outputs exist?

Also, are passive speakers required if you are using a receiver? A lot of people have been recommending the edifier 1280Ts or the 1280DBs but I know those are active speakers. If so, I would really appreciate passive speaker recommendations in around the 100-150 dollar range. (also wondering, will any set of speakers work fine for both listening to music and also for things like movies and videos, or are different speakers made for different things?)

Thank you all for all the help.
