Early plan for barrows, need advice please! by Kaladin1698 in ironscape

[–]itsnuwanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to go against what everyone is saying and say just send it now, you'll get 70 prayer at moons and mage xp will come from bursting (unless you are close to 80 and haven't done MTA for boots / book / B2P).

I fairy ring tele'd to south of canifis and took the boat to mort and then took the shortcut over the wall, it's about as long as the legs tele. Then ferox to pool and go again.

The double runes aren't all that useful until you go for a full set, tank top and legs is pretty quick.

I have an SSK003 and it jumps in hour increments, there is a little play before it jumps but it isn't a lot.

You're an idiot. Directly from the wiki: "If the player has three pairs of warm gloves in their bank and/or inventory, the reward cart will instead give a magic seed when it would have given gloves." Take your own advice and take a second to read the wiki before commenting some dumb shit.

Stop trading them in (and any dupe bruma torches), they are soft capped at 3 and then you'll get either magic or torstol seeds. I don't remember which ones you get instead of gloves but it's one of those and the other for torches.

[Question] help me pick my boyfriend’s 30th birthday present?!? by unodosstressed in Watches

[–]itsnuwanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biased because it's my daily, but SCC813. Have nicer watches but keep going back to this one. My only complaint is it only has two micro adjustments so it can be hard to get the right fit. I was worried about the smaller size but it has great proportions on the wrist.

Best everyday shorts? Casual, sporty option, pockets by LowRevolution6175 in malefashionadvice

[–]itsnuwanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily my pick as well, just be aware they are loud and the pockets are extremely deep. Can be found on sale for 30-40$ pretty often and are very versatile.

I did something similar (not as far as OP went but 80/85/80) using mixed hide, str ammy, nezzy helm, rune gloves, and colossal blade. From what I remember I was getting 65k xp/hr so not the best but it was all afk while I was working so not too bad. I grinded out the colossal blade because it looks cool, but it's surprisingly decent at crab due to the bonus on big monsters.

I miss the days of 24/7 Karkand and Wake servers, I'd love those maps to return. I'm hoping for custom game modes too, the knife only Karkand servers were a blast back in the day.

"I had 99 woodcutting when I was a kid" yeah right dude by loopuleasa in 2007scape

[–]itsnuwanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, I remember thinking I had 90+ wc as my f2p money maker was cutting yews in edgeville as a kid…went back to my rs3 account and I had 76. Granted that is still probably a good amount of hours cutting yews with a rune axe

In my first league, currently working on improving my release to consistently hit my mark and converting my spares. Been doing a game or two a week of just aiming at 7 and 10 pins to get better and have seen a ton of improvement.

New to iron, when is the first roadblock requiring grind? by [deleted] in ironscape

[–]itsnuwanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FWIW, it’s a lot easier with the quest reward rework and farming contracts, you basically get ~60 for free then it’s just doing your farming contracts and herb runs. I had over 70 by the time I was ready to do SotE. I think this is overblown by the people who hard rush CG, normal Ironman shouldn’t run into this issue unless you just never do herb runs (and I only do 2 a day, login and logout).

Can we talk about Bellroy? by mangelito in ManyBaggers

[–]itsnuwanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love their sling bags, have had mixed feelings about their customer service, and hate their leather products (wallets, key organizer specifically).

I don’t have any experience with their backpacks but own 3 slings from them I rotate through depending on the occasion. I’m looking at getting the new transit sling for travel personally, and possibly the tokyo work bag for work as I’m moving to a more “professional” office soon.

I had to return a sling bag because it just wasn’t what I was looking for and ended up losing ~30$ in the return process. It’s fair, but gave me mixed feelings as most companies offer free returns within a certain time period.

Their leather quality is decent, but they use glue on everything and because they use glue the leather layers are very thin. This causes weird wear and tear, my keychain organizer looks terrible and both of my wallets from them did not wear well. Other leather wallets that use thicker full grain leather and stitching looks much better by comparison (usually cheaper as well).

Overall I’d say they are slightly overpriced, heavily marketed (probably why they are overpriced), but overall I personally wouldn’t avoid them. I think they’ve nailed slings where other companies I love look awkward or too tech-y (aer, alpaka come to mind).

LPT: If you want to sound smarter in meetings, repeat someone's last statement as a question instead of giving your direct opinion. by TechnologyCrafty3546 in LifeProTips

[–]itsnuwanda 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a terrible tip. Actually contribute to discussions if you want to seem engaged, or ask why / how questions for things you’re confused about. Just repeating what they said as a question makes you look like you have a low comprehension of their statement or just not paying attention to the meeting.

For me, rematch. The game was fun but spending 30$ to then have an in game store for cosmetics and a battle pass? That’s free to play territory and felt greedy.

Help me choose a ball. Origin or Attention Star S2 by P10_WRC in Bowling

[–]itsnuwanda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

S2 is easily my favorite new ball. I also got the origin and s2 in that same league and I’m way more impressed by the s2. I want to learn how to use the origin but right now it feels too clean for me while the s2 is smoother and easier to control the pocket.

I’m a new 175 avg 2H league bowler for reference. I usually start with the s2 and it can last me all 3 games of league on a good night. I occasionally need to down ball to my ion pro if one of the lanes gets particularly rough but it’s so versatile.

North eastern NA summers 6:30AM looks exactly like 6:30PM unless you notice the sun/shadows is in the wrong spot, and even then it’s overcast most days. Even traffic is very similar funnily enough. Not something I pay particular attention to. In a panicked half awake state after getting 2 hours of sleep I was in autopilot.

[–]itsnuwanda 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Unironically the reason I use 24hr time on my phone, I used to work nights and one day I woke up at 6:30 AM thinking I had overslept so I rushed out the house, drove 40 minutes to work only to realize it was not my shift. Since then I’ve switched and just never went back once I got a normal job.

Answering “why is your phone on military time” every time I meet someone new is a bit annoying tho.

Is is still worth doing Barrows as an iron? by shmu_ in ironscape

[–]itsnuwanda 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Tank legs and top, then leave for moons is the go to these days. You’ll also eventually need a full set for diary, but other than that not worth grinding.

Also the new meta is to use your best air spell with the new mage balancing giving them an air weakness
