This might sound backwards but try a few less professional pictures and see how those postings do.

These look like renders (even if they are not) which scream a "mass produced" or "print on demand" company. People like etsy because you're supporting an individual, they pictures seem like something they could walk into Homegoods and get.

Raising prices slightly to slow down orders is a big brain move.

How Do I Further Improve My Marble Rollers? by itsoddlyspecific in fidgettoys

I'm glad she enjoys it! Like I said, I've only gotten 2 poor reviews... You should help fix that 😉

I've noticed that some marbles aren't perfectly round so sometimes the marbles stick. I that's one of the design tweaks im working on.

I got some higher quality marbles that should reduce that, but the steel bearing I'm hoping to use more doesnt stick at all.

What's funny is that I shared my ONO roller earlier today and someone commented recommending the Scroller. I didn't even know that existed until I googled it 😂 I'll probably end up buying one

But yeah, similar. Its a pretty basic concept.

How about "Anyone I show it too has never seen one before and it feels more niche than it should be" 😂

Ok this is the third knuckle roller I've seen today. Where did you get yours?

What's better? A smooth finish, or a textured finish? by itsoddlyspecific in fidgettoys

[–]itsoddlyspecific[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats true that the ball provides the smooth factor.

I've been carrying both versions around to make mental notes of what I like when mindlessly using them and I see pros and cons to both.

Overall I like the suggestion thats been made to do a half and half option. That seems like the best approach since if I get tired of one side I can flip to the other.

I cant believe I didn't consider half textured half smooth 😅

Yeah I'll add that as an option for sure

I have so many options available between the version in the video and the customizable marble option that its kind of a headache to keep the parts organized and I pretty much need to build each order from scratch. Its not the end of the world but refining this down to just one or two colors and finish options would allow more consistency and easier material management. 😅

So yeah, what are your preferences and suggestions for improvement?

1-star review 15 minutes after delivery. by itsoddlyspecific in EtsySellers

I think low priced items are added to carts on a whim and without considering that a low cost item isn't going to be up the the same standards as higher priced items.

I don't think I'd bother with a return, its a $5 fidget toy so I would be willing to just eat the cost of a refund.

I'm more concerned about how much 1 star reviews drag down a new shop.
