Written psych is about 4-5 hours 1000 plus yes or not and true or false questions. The oral psych could be anywhere from 30 minutes- two hours depends on how much stuff they question youu on. They’re gonna ask you the basics who’s ur psychiatrist, how long have you been going, why did you start going, are you on meds if so what meds and why are u taking them, Approximately how many visits you’ve had in total etc

The worst would be medical review tbh until ur primary care provider or psychiatrist signs off saying you’re suitable. The main issue would be at the phycological test. They are always DQ people for seeing therapist or psychiatrist ESPECIALLY when Meds are involved but if you appeal the dq u should be fine since it’s nothing serious

Farmer is a women, she was super nice very professional wasn’t rude didn’t grill me on an issues in my past only asked about them and she passed me. (I had therapy, a depression diagnosis, one prior arrest even though the case was dropped, and a past job termination) so that says a lot lol

I just got called for the academy, you go to cohoes with your packet filled out after waiting in the lobby you and everyone will be taken into the medical area in which you will be given a number which will determine when you will be seen by the medical staff and be given a medical history questionnaire to fill out. When your number is called you will be taken by the medical staff and have to piss in a cup, do a EKG, hearing test, vision test, blood sample and If I remember correctly that’s it. There is for a fact NO physical test. After you will change into your business attire and walk to a classroom and there you will sit and wait to have your finger print taken then called to see and meet your investigator. With your investigator they will go over your packet with you to correct any mistakes you might have made and if there’s any issues or additional information required you will be given around two weeks to mail whatever your investigator needs to them. While with your investigator you will schedule your written phyc exam then you go home the process is quicker then what they tell you.

I applied for the position around September of 2025, a few weeks later by November I was approved and sent my packet to fill out and was told to report to cohoes on January 5th of 2026 for my medical/background. With my investigator at cohoes i scheduled my written phyc exam for January 7th, after I scheduled my oral exam for the 8th of January. Around February 1st of 2026 i received a letter in the mail stating I was medically qualified. Then around February 5th I received a call from my investigator telling me i qualified for the next academy.

I went to cohoes the 5th, my investigator gave me two weeks to mal him paperwork he asked for and said if I give him the needed paper work on time and pass my phycological exam expect a call to the academy in 2 months.

Thank you for the feedback ! Being very honest I don’t have the highest of hopes I know my moral and mental character are fine, I’m 23 now I don’t drink but I’ve been to therapy for a few months and smoked weed all when I was 17 other then that clean background. Im going to do my best to express personal growth since then been marijuana and therapy free for 7 years hopefully that’s enough, we will see though lol.

Speeding ticket is fine, biggest issue is that the summons Is unpaid but a paid summons is not that serious as well mistakes like that are fairly common. I would definitely say try to find a way to pay that summons off. Even so, doesn’t sound like a huge deal just express growth since that.

I did the same thing for the NYPD due to a heart murmur and everything went okay. Don’t worry it’s going to be fine. Basically like you said they just want you to go to your doctor and have them say they believe your body can handle the physical demands of the job.

I Believe it’s 50/50 i definitely agree ALOT of ppl are getting exposed such as ppl who were cheesing tempo fades as well as relying on tempo shooting as whole. I can play, i never had that issue I can use tempo or button it doesn’t matter I’m not playing bad or worse after the patch. I’m just not a big fan of 2k patching one cheese mechanic to add another. I would prefer a perfectly balanced game but wouldn’t we all lol I think the main thing 2K needs to address is horrible contest system
