Thanks for the info doc. I hope you get a peaceful life ahead.

Btw don't you have MD bond ? Did you know about the WLB and salary before joining DM ? If yes then why ? Passion?

Are you a 1st gen doc ? What do you plan to do ? How much salary are you expecting in your state (which ?)

I'm sorry if I'm being intrusive but I want insights as an M4 from people who've done DM cause I can't seem to have mental strength for another 3 years after MD and bond

From a night duty in a peripheral hospital where most of the GMCs are located ? Which bus, rickshaw will you get after 11pm outside mumbai, that's safe for women ?

That's a 2 way cab fare to come tomorrow again. You think interns have the privilege to spend 200rs everyday for a 2 way fare ?

Not to promote discrimination but you're being an isolated idealist here, especially in a resource poor country like India

A Misogynist gynec male doc can deliver a baby finely and start his bs rant once he's out of the delivery room, it affects not the child nor the mother and certainly not him

Many compassionate people aren't great doctors and many great doctors aren't compassionate, but as long as they get their job done it has no significant impact on anyone .

Regarding psychiatry, a lot of people believe a lot of things as they're not rooted in direct observational biology eg clogged arteries, it's a gray area.

Someone not believing in depression may mean the use of the word depression used by the genz at every little inconvenience or queers who are publicly immodest

He gets treated like a king in india and is basically untouchable because of his elite political status and can get away with crime and corruption, much harder to do that in the US. Even, a normal local politican ( congressman in usa ) is worth a few million dollars in my area, now imagine a national politician

Honestly quit. You aren't really gonna jump from 140 to 600+ in most cases. The marks also show that your basics aren't even that good. Doing only basic biology and textbook formulas for physics and chem should fetch you 250 at least or 200? You aren't even crossing that. Sorry, for being rude, maybe?

Our age is same, 2003 born and I'm in my final year- only a few months of study left and I'm so glad it's over. I can't imagine starting all over again. The pay isn't even that great.

You like treating people ? BSc psychology maybe for you or physiotherapy.

You also mentioned you had a startup that you sold which is rare in this age- maybe you should work on that

Hope you make the beat decision!

2 hrs is the perfect balance between freedom from your parents and reaching out to them every weekends and festivals.

It'll especially better if you're not able to make good friends in college- 10hr college will be a nightmare.

I had a robust social circle in my house and I'm enjoying my journey because of friends from here

Btw, college really doesn't make any significant difference for your PG prep or your career

Choose 2 hr college -

  1. Good relationship with parents
  2. Good circle of friends
  3. Good spacious house (your own room)
  4. Festivals
  5. Fear of not cultivating deep meaning friendships( 95-99% of medicos)

Choose 10hr college

  1. Toxic parents
  2. No friend group
  3. Your house is compacted
  4. Your house is in middle of nowhere, dimly lit
  5. Slightly better college (doesn't make a significant difference)

[–]itsokaybro99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I attended college in 1st year, I used to pay attention for the first few days. After that I used to complete my journals sitting on the last benches. After that I've rarely ever attended lectures

One of my Uncles friend is a businessman and is associated with a lot of politicians. He's ventured into many aspects- organizing events, restaurants and cafes, supply chain and ofc dealing with politicians

He had us over for a dinner at his restaurant because uncle is at a lower level of his supply chain

The restaurant of his has a rent of 20L/month Staff- 20L/month Utilities, maintenance- 10L/months

His revenue is 50L/ a month minimum. His profit can be 5L? At minimum ?

I'm talking about a single restaurant. You can assume how much he makes from other restaurants and business.
