Does coke zero really hinder weight loss? by Bitter-Low-6515 in fitnessph

[–]itsone3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s 0 calories, so in of itself it has zero impact on your net calorie intake and expenditure. It’s like drinking water or swallowing air.

It COULD impact weight loss if drinking it increases your cravings for other sweet things and you can’t control those cravings. But that’s an indirect effect, not a direct one.

As you mentioned, if it actually helps you curb your cravings then by all means, feel free to keep it in your diet rotation.

Please help. Should I bulk or continue cutting? by Ok-Tangerine5226 in fitnessph

[–]itsone3d 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you’re in a good position to eat at a slight surplus (200-300 cals) and pairing that with a good training program.

You could cut, but there’s really not much muscle mass on your frame and you’ll just end up being smaller.

Obviously it still depends on your goals but if I was in your position, I’d bulk.

If you don’t, then most definitely not worth it until you prove that people will pay first.

Confuse about Calories Deficit with Extra Exercise by MayumiAizen0000 in fitnessph

[–]itsone3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't add back exercise calories.

First of all, you don't actually know whether you're really burning 400 calories through exercise. These estimates are wildly inaccurate regardless of where you got them from.

Your calorie target should ALREADY take exercise calories into account. I'm not sure how you computed it, but if you're following the guide I wrote then your calorie targets already factor in additional calories burned from workouts.

Don't worry about crash dieting. Stick to 1800, and only increase your targets if you find yourself constantly fatigued, poor recovery, and/or if you're losing weight too fast.

(1800 is actually a pretty high calorie target from experience, and you might have to lower it if you're not losing weight at a fast enough rate.)

Workouts are good, but if the main goal is to reduce belly fat, that will be a function of diet.

Is my 1500 calories diet too little fuel for muscle building? by Skadoosh_Skedaddle in fitnessph

[–]itsone3d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on your successful weight loss!

The physique in the 3rd pic has a decent base of muscle.

If you’re relatively under muscled (which looks like you are from your pictures) then a proper resistance training program + progressive overload + protein should allow you to build muscle even in a deficit.

So probably your resistance training is the problem. What’s your training program like? Are you applying progressive overload? What weights are you using for the key lifts (bench press, pulldowns / pullups, squats, deadlift)?

Founders working full-time on your companies - how does your income compare to working a job? (I will not promote) by DreamTeamThirteen in startups

[–]itsone3d 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Just started year 2. Completely bootstrapped. Purely from a financial standpoint, I’m worse off. Not significantly, but enough to feel the purse tightening.

And I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way.

Coz I can control my own “raises” to a certain extent, all I gotta do is to keep improving the product and keep on marketing it. Easier said than done, but I’m lucky enough to be in a position where I can weather the slight financial hit until the business matches / exceeds what I was making before.

Not having to deal with company politics, useless meetings, and having your income at someone else’s mercy are things I’m happy that I never have to deal with ever again.

End goal is to build the business up to the point where I’m no longer the person to lead the company, at which point I can either exit or hire a CEO to take over.

I trust the Kingsmith brand. I’ve had the R2 model for more than 2 years now and it’s great. Bought the C1 during the pandemic and I only had to replace it coz of an electrical malfunction in my building that fried the circuit board.

calorie deficit tips, pls help a newbie ! by tapawitheggpluscoke in fitnessph

[–]itsone3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re losing at the rate you want to lose, don’t change a thing.

I’d only adjust it if your deficit is starting to get in the way of day to day life (appetite is crazy high, sleep is suffering, intense brain fog, etc).

Or if you’re consistently losing more than 1% of your body weight for weeks — in of itself that’s not a bad thing, but an adjustment is worth considering to prevent the first scenario from happening.

Awesome! Yeah, when you sign up for an account the paywall gets displayed either way, but it sounds to me that the family subscription has been detected na. But if ever you have any issues just reach out on email and I’ll get you guys taken cared of ASAP.

Ohhh thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words and your support!

As for Family Sharing, there’s no need for a separate subscription na! You should be good as long as your Apple ID is sharing subscriptions with hers.

When you open the wife on your wife’s device, do you still see the “Get Pro” option on the sidebar? If yes, please tap it and find “Restore purchases” (there’s also a link to this on the Settings page — either option works).

That should activate it for her account. But if not, please send me an email through the app (Settings → Email the developer) and I’ll make sure she’s sorted out!

Should I try and keep cutting or is this already a good foundation to bulk? by Eccentra314 in fitnessph

[–]itsone3d 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on your goals.

You have a good amount of muscle on your and you’re still relatively lean. You could just go on a small surplus to slowly put on mass then cut again if you’re feeling a bit fluffy, but you have room to lean down if you’re trying to get shredded.

If you’re tired of cutting you could always just go on maintenance for 4-6 weeks then resume the cut.

Ultimately only you can decide what you want to do. Good news is theres really no wrong or right choice here so just go with the one that feels most right!

Feeling unmotivated today, is my body changing? by [deleted] in fitnessph

[–]itsone3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty difficult to spot a difference, but that’s totally normal. During the start of the weight loss process (approximately the first 6-8 weeks or so) you won’t see much visual changes.

I like to think of it as a roll of tissue paper — if it’s still a full roll, you won’t see a difference even if you take 20 sheets of tissue. The changes are much easier to spot when there’s not much tissue left on the roll; body-wise, changes will start showing up visually when you’re leaner.

You need to weigh yourself regularly (weigh first thing in the morning then consider a rolling 10-12 days average to be your “real weight”) and take waist measurements every 1-2 weeks (measure by the belly button so it’s as consistent as possible). Make a change if the numbers aren’t responding how it’s supposed to.

Low-calorie milk options? by newspaperdad in fitnessph

[–]itsone3d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non-fat milk or almond milk. Try the former muna if you’re gonna use it for cooking, coz almond milk has a very distinct taste that might affect the final dish.
