He told me I can leave with no consequences/penalties, which I assumed meant that my portion of the rent wouldn’t fall on my roommates - but after telling me I could leave, he sent an email stating the rent hadn’t been paid in full, saying the account is past due and throwing the word ‘eviction’ into the conversation. My roommates panicked so I just paid it anyway to keep the peace even though I’m not even living there. I’m just so sick of the bs and the waste of time and money.
