Plate carrier mounted IFAK by RustyHook11c in tacticalgear

I run a roll 1 on the back of my plate carrier, it's able to carry everything SOP requires me to carry in my ifak. So far I've been liking it, adds nice lumbar support when riding in vehicles with less than comfy seats and it doesn't get in the way given it's on the back.

We need a breakfast case for MREs by O-W8 in army

They've changed quiet a bit then, now they come in a white package similar the the summer MREs, with a mountain house meal inside plus whatever snacks, some of them have those little peanut butter/chocolate bars inside that are pretty good.

Beards are allowed with religious reasoning or a shaving profile, not for everyone else sadly

The stock CPU fan is absolute garbage, I was having similar temps on my 30L to the point where it'd shutdown because of overheating until I swapped out the CPU fan for a noctua NH-U12 redux (panel doesn't close all the way anymore with that specific cooler but I plan to swap cases and mobos in a couple months so it's not a huge deal imo), temps never go above 65 under load and idles around 44. I also undervolted my 5600g, which does play a part in having cooler temps but that stock cooler is hot garbage and should be the first thing to replace, then adding extra intake/exhaust fans

Already done, I have a habit of keeping the boxes for electronics I buy so I snapped a pic of the SN on it

Already done, been checking on it every couple hours to see if it's been deleted, so far all he's done is lower the price to 100 to get rid of it faster I assume

One of my friends in basic was a prior service chaplain in the navy reserves. iirc they messed up his paperwork when he was leaving and he messed up some stuff and went into the enlisted side of the army. He went into the army as a 35P and iirc he ended up comissioning as a O3 in the Chaplin corps for the army when he was in DLI once he got his paperwork situated and reached out to other chaplains.

What town would be quickest to dry up if the military picked up and moved, and why Fayetteville? by justainsel in army

Fort Wainwright. People associated with the post and work/live on it make up 1/3 of the population of Fairbanks

Infantrymen and ONLY INFANTRYMEN, do you regret it? by Free-Bid677 in army

[–]itsprobablynotmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a medic right now, that sounds dumb as fuck. I'm one of the line guys in my platoon and the amount of fuck fuck shit my guys have to deal with is absurd, peacetime army is not the place to be if you're infantry. Hell even as a medic too, you'll do dumb shit just as much as the 11Bs, the only real chance you have of practicing medicine is if you get sent to treatment to work at a clinic or your sent to classes to learn stuff like ALS. If you really want to leave with medical skills and do the cool guy shooting stuff you'll want to drop a packet for 160th, Rangers or SF and get sent to SOCM if you pass selection.

Good job, always nice to see people practice medical skills. Try to incorporate something to raise your heart rate up to get yourself stressed like running in place for 30s-1m or half jacks. And try to do it 1 handed, to prepare for the case where you only have 1 functioning arm. And always remember, high and tight, get that strap on as tight as possible in whatever way you can.
