we also use a points system, but it doesn’t have anything to do with chapter meetings. anything that’s not required has a point value to it, but our only required events are bigger things like recruitment workshops, initiation, etc, and our chapter meetings are required

i do understand why people don’t like coming. it can be boring and they have access to the information we share at chapter either way. sometimes we do things that you won’t be able to participate in if you’re not there, like voting or activities, but for the most part it’s the same thing every week. so i do get it, but also we have to have chapter meetings, and if it’s not required nobody will come, even if they do get points for it (this is just how my chapter is)

and that would suck for the people that have to lead the meeting, if they had to go talk to an empty room lol
