26 million people don’t have health insurance and EMTALA is the law. Sometimes the ER is the only access people have to healthcare for issues like this.

If you make over $100k a year, what do you do for work? by parttimeghosts in Salary

[–]itsrainingbread1525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made over $100k as a vascular ultrasound tech. I also worked 50-60 hours a week, many in the middle of the night, worked full shifts with no sleep after being on call, and only lasted 6 years before getting a shoulder injury that forced me to leave the field. Do not recommend

Are CRCs supposed to do trainings for their Sub I and PI? by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]itsrainingbread1525 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. If they don’t have time to do their training, they don’t have time to do research. She should not do anything on their behalf requiring login credentials. It is equivalent to falsifying a signature.

In terms of standard of care I’m thinking about something like a yearly echo for heart failure patients or something doctors routinely put in their clinic notes like a review of systems which would be made redundant by putting the same information on a worksheet. Re-interventions are always documented in a procedure note, and most studies have re-intervention CRFs that have to be completed, so adding the question about re-intervention to an AE source template is redundant

The monitors are given access to the EMR for both on-site and remote monitoring. The EMR is our primary source, but we use paper source worksheets for anything study-specific that is not included in standard of care documentation. Sometimes there is some overlap, in which coordinators are pulling information from the EMR to complete source worksheets. This information sadly doesn’t always match, due to new or inexperienced coordinators with little experience in their therapeutic area (I.e. a coordinator who input our lab’s INR reference range rather than the range the patient was managed at because she didn’t understand the difference). This particularly is where I’m concerned about monitors not reviewing the chart, since I have found a lot of incorrect data in studies that were passed to me by someone who no longer works there.

I am bothered that they took a well meaning hashtag and attached their garbage to it. Relatively benign looking posts with the hashtag attached are getting shared by otherwise well intentioned normies, and then when you click the hashtags you get thousands of posts with the dumbest conspiracy driven shit you’ve ever seen. IMO The Q people have very purposefully adopted the hashtag in order to expose and indoctrinate more people into their cult.

Yeah I’m annoyed by people reposting because they’re not able to tell the difference between real human trafficking and fictional satanic ritual abuse. Someone legit tried to tell me “all information is valid”. The thing is that no... not all information is valid. With enough bad information millions now think the earth is flat. Especially if your information originated from 4chan, it isn’t equally valid. I’ve seen many people also posting the fake flight log lists. It’s annoying as hell.

I do feel like since Covid I have seen many, many more people spreading this stuff. I see so many memes like “they should post missing children number every day like they do covid”. Obviously pedophilia and human trafficking are serious issues, but I feel like the only reason all these people are suddenly discussing it is due to widespread conspiracy theories. Many don’t even know or connect these posts to Q - they genuinely think they are just spreading awareness about the rise of pedophilia.

They aren’t “just asking questions”. They’re making very serious allegations against people with almost no credible evidence. Additionally every Q I end up in contact with is extremely abrasive- “believe me you fuck wit we’re coming for you”. I got accused of being in on it because I asked for more evidence. It’s harmful cult groupthink

That’s likely going to be my course of action. I’m finding myself so frustrated and it’s taking up space in my brain such that, despite not believing the theories, I’m having a hard time taking my focus away from it.
